Predator Oil & Gas
An end of year operational update from Predator today, one in which despite the COVID pressures, the company is able to report positive news on all three fronts.

Starting in Trinidad, where the onshore pilot C02 EOR injection in the Inniss-Trinity field into AT-5X commenced on 18 May 2020 for a period of 30 days, with a total of 380 metric tonnes of CO2 successfully injected during the period and 30 days following cessation of the initial CO2 injection, oil production increased sharply in a CO2 EOR monitoring well.

Production was sustained at an average rate 88% higher than the average rate for the CO2 EOR monitoring well in the month prior to the start of CO2 injection and at the end of the monitoring period in November, planned CO2 injection re-commenced at AT-13. This time an immediate response in the CO2 EOR monitoring well was observed with an increase in production of 60% relative to the average pre-injection production rate in the five days preceding injection.

Enhanced incremental oil production for the single CO2 EOR monitoring well is estimated to be approximately 2,200 barrels of oil since the commencement of CO2 injection and CO2 sensors have detected no increased CO2 emissions at surface at AT-5X and AT-13 above the pre-injection background base line, demonstrating the effectiveness of subsurface sequestration of CO2.

The forward programme Q1 2021 includes, to continue CO2 injection at AT-13 and observe impact on monitoring well, evaluate potential to progressively add CO2 EOR production wells based on AT-13 CO2 EOR injection performance and make operational efficiencies and optimise CO2 injection volumes to further reduce operational costs.

PRD will continue discussions with potential joint venture partners to focus on capitalising on the value of the success of the Pilot CO2 EOR project in de-risking CO2 EOR operations and CO2 sequestration as well as ‘continuing discussions with the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries regarding developing green fiscal incentives for anthropogenic CO2 sequestration operations as an interim measure until such time as a carbon credit trading platform is established’.

Onshore Morocco, the Guercif drilling programme is ready to go with the Star Valley Rig 101 remaining securely stacked in Morocco awaiting lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, well inventory and equipment remain available and accessible in-country and the drill location and 2021 budget has been approved by partner ONHYM.

With the EIA also approved for the three wells and plans are afoot to coordinate with SDX to create ‘mutually attractive logistic efficiencies’ on the programme. Predator has also completed independent mapping of the new 31.7km² MOU–4 Prospect, 6 kilometres to the NE of the first; MOU-1; drilling location

With this material upgrade in prospective Guercif gas resources, we have taken all pre-drill steps necessary to ensure that we can attract finance to fast-track gas appraisal and development at Guercif following a successful short-term outcome to the MOU-1 drilling programme."

Zephyr Energy
Zephyr has announced that it has signed a drilling contract with Cyclone Drilling Inc, this follows a competitive selection process by Zephyr’s team, involving ‘extensive technical and commercial evaluation across multiple potential drilling contractors’. Cyclone, based in Gillette, Wyoming, is one of the leading providers of rigs in the Rockies.

‘Cyclone’s fleet of modern rigs was purpose-built for operating in the remote locations and rugged environment of the Rockies, and they hold one of the best drilling safety records in the U.S. oil and gas industry. Additionally, Cyclone has recent experience drilling similar stratigraphic wells, including a 10,200-foot-deep stratigraphic well drilled in 2019 which was also part-funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (the “DOE”)’.

Additionally, the signing of the State 16-2 drilling contract is a trigger for the Company to draw down the second $600,000 tranche of the $2 million grant funds allocated by the DOE for the drilling of the well. The balance of the DOE funding, a further US$800,000, will be received by Zephyr in two further tranches once additional routine well development milestones are met.

Belluscura plc announced the Filing with the US Food and Drug Administration (the "FDA") an Application Requesting Clearance for its X-PLO2R™, Portable Oxygen Concentrator

Tekcapital plc, (AIM: TEK) the UK intellectual property investment group focused on creating marketplace value from investing in university technology, announces that its portfolio company Belluscura plc has submitted the X-PLO2R™ portable oxygen concentrator for 510(k) clearance with the U.S. FDA.

Robert Rauker, CEO of Belluscura commented:
"Whilst we do not have a specific timetable, we have been told by the FDA that, as a COVID-19 treatment, the device will be given priority review and we are hopeful that FDA clearance will be granted this year."

Additionally, Mr. Rauker mentioned, "Using our proprietary Ultra-Rapid processing and ModulAirTM technology, the X-PLO2RTM will be the smallest and lightest in its class and subject to receipt of approval, the only modular FDA cleared oxygen concentrator. With the expected FDA 510(k) clearance in the near future, Belluscura has begun planning for the commercial launch of the X-PLO2RTM in 2021. To fund such a commercial launch, the Company plans to list on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange following the 510(k) clearance."

This is a major milestone for Belluscura. Belluscura has 17 patents and pending applications covering their products. According to Global Market Insights, the medical portable O2 market is expected to grow from $1.6bn in 2018 to US $2.4bn by 2025 with a CAGR of 8%.¹

Zephyr Energy
Zephyr announce overnight the grant of final approvals required to proceed with the State 16-2 well. These approvals include surface rights and rights to drill from the Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (“SITLA”), federal Right of Way approvals from the Bureau of Land Management (“BLM”), and Application to Drill (“APD”) approval from the Utah Division of Oil, Gas and Mining (“DOGM”). In addition, the Company has received all necessary consents from its joint-venture partner on the Paradox project.
