AS SLP have stated they will pay the dividend as a % of FCF, that is the reason I sold up, as I think they will not change this stance and suddenly pay it out of existing cash, that would not be the prudent way they manage the business. With the fall in PGM price the FCF falls with it.
I thought that the divi was a percentage of the FCF, if the FCF is down then the divi is likely to be reduced. They are using the cash pile to fund the buy back, I dont remember them using the cash pile to fund the dividend before, but I might be wrong
The Rhodium price is looking like falling off a cliff in the last couple of weeks.
Has anyone any views, with the falling basket price if there will be any impact on the future dividend level payment?
I thought that the BOD had tied the level to a % of the Free Cash Flow (but I couldn't find the document on their website)
After the ex date for the Interim divi, I sold out half my holding in view of the falling Rh price (which has fallen much further since) on the basis that the SP was likely to fall (which it has). Clearly the Share repurchase at around the sub 80p level has kept the price from falling lower but if a lower than expected divi was declared due to reduced cash flow this would be detrimental.
If the Rh price start to recover I will be a buyer but the last time the basket price was at this level the SP was lower.
Any views for discussion?
I wonder if they are going to announce each day what they have purchased what they have done (they did previously)? The lack of a daily RNS, does it mean they are not announcing or they haven't made any purchases?
Keeps dropping, wonder where the base for this is?
I must admit that the SP movement has left me a little underwater from my buy in, do I sell up and protect myself from any further SP erosion in case the results are bad? or just sit it out on the basis of presumed underlying growth over the next couple of years? It all comes back to the issue of trust.
Never sure with this one, whether to sit it out until the end of the year dividend, or sell up now and buy back in late Summer?
My stockopedia shows the M&G holding at 10.1% but the last RNS stated less than 5%?
Have they still got more to sell? Any views
Didn't he have SLP in his 2022 Bargain Shares? if so he wont have it again (though on a similar vein another one he has mentioned in his Alpha reports is JLP, which could feature?)
It would be really helpful if the board could put out a statement to advise what the situation power situation is, what effect is is having and what contingencies they have and are planning to have in place.
10p to sell this is getting into crazy price territory
TG5... Like you I don't get the current share price, especially in view of where the SP has sat in the last 12 months.
I have invested very heavily in JLP and have the funds at this price to buy more.
Apart from the fact that I am quite top heavy in JLP, I am also holding back from buying more on the same (probably irrational) basis that the massive apparent disconnect between potential, combined with this years share price movement has given me niggling concerns.
I am OK not buying at these bargain prices if the share price moves up (and missing out), but would kick myself if I buy even more only to find an issue.
That being said I am also in Copper miner ATYM, bought in about £3 to see it rise nicely, then recently drop back to £1.8, however in the last 6 weeks it has rapidly climbed to £3 again.
Well I don't have a clue what is going on. That last trade (200K) at 16:38 after hours as 10.85!
We clearly have / had a seller in large 100K blocks but why this last trade when that could have been executed at a much lower price?
This is where a substantial purchase by directors would go a long way to steady things.
I have to say that this continual erosion of the SP is unsettling. Like most on here I think that our SP based on the forecast fundamentals should be considerably higher .
We clearly have a background seller, but a lack of significant buyers.
Would you like to outline the basis of your statement that this will quadruple in 12 months?
If you had said double, I may have been less sceptical.
Not sure what last nights late trade was all about, but it looks to me as though there is some consistent selling going on today?
I know it has been said countless times, but if the management read this board, please look at SLP quarterly report out today for an example of how a professional company reports.
It also has a marked effect on the share price potentially, apart from keeping us (the owners) in the picture as to what is going on.
