This morning, I understood that BARC declared 1P div for 2020 and 4P for 2019. Total div 5P. This evening I am not sure if it is 1P or 5P?

Today £11m worth of shares were sold against £55m worth of shares were acquired. The ratio in favour of buyers is almost 5 to 1. The buyers must have seen it is worthwhile buying TSCO shares at the eleventh, instead of selling. I failed to grasp what are the benefits.

You have already discounted Special Dividend in your example below. Financial result will be publish on 14 Apr 21, and I presume, final div will be declared at that time. Perhaps shareholders may be rewarded with higher div at that time.

You won't be after Monday the 15th Feb. Lots of questions will be answered then.

The more I read the more I am convinced that it is decoy div rather than special div. It is capital distribution. If you acquire TSCO shares today your cost will remain same after taking into account the so called special div. I do not understand why FT calls it bonanza and why investors are rushing to buy the TSCO shares. On 14 Apr 21 final result will be out together with final div, which may be hyped.

The circular states that the market capitalisation used is that as at market close on 22 Jan 2021. The capitalisation on 22 Jan 2021 was (No: of shares in issue 9793m X share value 241.9p=) 236,892m.

Old 19 shares, after consolidation will be reduced (every 100 will be reduced to approximately to 79 shares). So what will be the value of each new share? Does anybody know?

After one day TSCO ran out of steam.

My account was not credited with the final div, which was due for payment on 3 Jul 20. Can you please confirm you received final div and how much?

Today BATS' SP can't make up its mind whether to go up or down.

Since ex-div ( 9th Jul) the SP has come down by more than £3 (or 10% drop). Nothing unusual for BATS' shares.

If I remember it correctly, the government dispose of last tranche of LLOY shares at 75p a share. Since then the SP has come down by 60%. It sounds a lot.

Today is the last day to buy CCH with cum div. I was expecting the SP will go up, instead it went down. It is difficult to predict the stock market. Tomorrow the SP will open 63p lower than whatever the closing price will be today. Lets see what happens.

Has anybody noticed that when stock market goes down, Tesco SP goes up and when the market goes up, Tesco SP goes down. Will Tesco ever learn to march shoulder shoulder with the trend.

I missed the buying oportunity

I forget to mention that dividend 63 cent in sitting in the wings. Ex-div 2 July 20, pay day end of July.

From whatever angel you look at CCH, it is a solid company. In the last week or so, weakness in the share price has creeped in. IMHO it is a buying opportunity.

At current SP , the market capitalisation amounts to £21.64b. It is interesting that Lloyds bank paid for PPI more or less similar amount.
