Tuan - we are all at different stages of our life - I am at the weath preservation rather than wealth creation stage, and happy to have a ROI of 15%, plus capital appreciation, on my blue chip and property investments (which would be lamentable to many). I retired quite early, debt free, after high pressure burnout - realising that I already had "enough". Living a carefree simple life where 'every day is a Saturday' is bliss for me - the ability to sod off for two months in the Winter backpacking in SE Asia on 20 usd a day is an exciting adventure and chosing frugality rather than having it enforced is especially liberating.
As Redhammy said - horses for courses ..... obviously your productive, energetic years require the maximum profitable reurn to get ahead of the game - and the AIM can deliver if you take the time to study and research and realise it can be a minefield of other peoples ajendas and duplicity
