Good morning.
I understand that the estimated 40 days to drill Jethro Lobe includes drilling into the Cretaceus. Hence, any potential discovery in the Terciary will be known sooner than that.
Any reasonable estimate as to when they will get into the Terciary?

Of course, depending on who issued the "remittance notification", it makes a great difference to us in my oppinion.
If it was issued by HSBC, asking their intermediary bank (for example, Citibank of New York) to transfer the money to PVR`s bank account, we can be sure that the money will eventually come.
On the other hand, if it was issued by APEC`s funder, asking HSBC to transfer the money, we don`t know anything about the real existence and availability of the money.

Just for clarification:
"An intermediary bank is a bank that acts on behalf of the beneficiary bank. ... Payments will reach the intermediary bank before being credited to the beneficiary (the beneficiary is the person or entity who will receive the payment), which is the final destination for the transfer."

I`m not sure that this is the case.
I think that what PVR received from APEC is an order issued by APEC`s funder asking HSBC to transfer US$ 10 million to PVR`s bank account. It doesn`t necessarily mean that the bank has processed the order, or that the money is in the HSBC account ready to be transferred, for that matter.
I can ask my bank to send US$ 10 million to a third party, but if I don`t have the money available to be transferred, the bank will do nothing.
That`s my interpretation of the "HSBC remittance notification" received by PVR

Last week you were saying that the farm out deal wit the chinese was not good for PVR, and that you preferred for PVR to end the deal and appraise Barryroe alone (even if it means heavy dillution for shareholders).

After today news you wrote:

You even claimed of having earned a few bucks today, by buying a few shares last week, in anticipation of the receipt of the money from the chinese.

I think you are better than that.

You are right. I was wrong in my initial assesment. The increase in share prices was basically the result of the Climate Change Bill being rejected by the government

Europa oil and gas (EOG), another small oil&gas E&P company with interests in offshore Ireland, is up 13% on news of the Climate Change bill being rejected by government.
It`s a very small increase in price in comparison to that of LOGP. There should be some kind of news leaked here, regarding the payment from APEC

Dear Fr Quick:

your interpretacion of today`s loan to LOGP as a sign of a protracted a permitting process is not correct.

On Oct 10, 2018, LOGP informed the market that they had cash in hand of £ 266.000, and their general administrative expenses were of £ 35.000 per month.

So, it was always clear that LOGP will be running out of cash by Mid 2019. And that was to happen no matter the timing of the site survey permit.

The very fact that the 2 Major shareholders agreed to put more money in a single asset company like LOGP is a sign that they still believe in the Barryroe story.

This is both:

1- a great vote of confidence in Barryroe (the only significant project currently being developed by LOGP) by insiders

2. a prudent action by management, in order to avoid heavy dillution for shareholders

In my oppinion, the chinese have told PVR something like this:

"You are the operator. You are the local company pretending to know operational procedures (including how to apply to permits) and to have good relationship with the government (in order to get all the necessary approvals). Then, show me the permit first, and I will show you the money".

APEC is backed financially by a chinese state- owned company. The farm out agreement was previously approved by both governments. So, I don`t think, as Maniana said, that there is an issue related to justification of where or from whom the money is coming from.

On the other hand, as another poster have said, if the chinese were to walk away from the project, they would have announced it by now.

that as soon as the permit is given the farm in partner will immediately solve their "internal transaction processing" issues and the money will flow through PVR`s coffin.

On the other hand, if the chinese walk away, this is a dead project, no matter what some posters say about the benefits of ending this "prejudicial" farm out agreement.
