RE: 15p a test.13 Sep 2020 14:06
Point I was trying to make is to say that a pregnancy style test could be made for 15p or less but it is in an old established market.
I would hope the test being developed by Avacta and partners sell for considerably more. Its not the cost of production people will be paying for it's the technology, the added value, the freedom to go about business as usual.
It's anybody's guess at the moment what they will sell for. For a product in need, for a global market which could see a billion users multiple times a month, (I can't see why not and the only limiting factor I can see is production, especially if it is cheap) I'd be very disappointed if Avacta could not generate an income in the hundreds of millions a year, at least for the next few.
If this test proves to be successful the world should be thankful to the company and it's investors who have backed it. And hopefully this would be reflected in the share price.
