Always game on for a beer. I'm located a bit south of St. Albans and willing to go to a local Hertfordshire or City of London area meet. If York ever happens then I will make effort to do that as well.
If I recall correctly, JT Macs and other posters are based near Watford so a good chance this could happen.
Still firmly believe that EUA will come through with a cracking deal so it' s sure to be a good celebration.

On this inclement and boring Sunday I thought I would share with you how my mining portfolio has performed since 31/12/20.
At that time I was showing a healthy paper profit of +64% on amounts invested. 2021 has been unsettling with poor sentiment and as of today this has swung to a paper loss of -2.3%. Investments are in no particular order other than the largest ( and best ) investment is at the top:-

EUA -10.38%
GGP +27.39% ( but trending down )
ECR -19.04%
ARK -28.02%
ALBA -27.64%
GWMO - 24.98%
PALM +7.38%
ORM -64.58%
TYM -36.96%

Other than ORM these were all in profit at some time since the start of the year. Amounts invested vary but you get the picture!

I still believe the majority will still come good and revert to profit. No complaints as my decisions and who knows what tomorrow will bring.

As per Dexter, you can't compare these 2 companies although the potential for both is excellent. I think you will find there is a lot more than a " bit " of helium that HE1 are currently working on to develop.
HE1 - market cap £128m 614m shares. Bid SP 20.80
EUA - market cap £619m. 2,812m shares. Bid SP 21.5
I'm in both so waiting patiently for progress and, hopefully, great success!

Not totally sure what is happening here, but Computershare have advised that there is a meeting on 29 June 2021 in Calgary. There are 7 resolutions on which I can vote. The final resolution states:
"To approve a special resolution approving a consolidation of the issued and outstanding common shares. Refer to NOM for full Resolution."
It looks as though this is moving forward but somebody else may have better understanding of what is happening. An RNS has not been issued notifying this meeting!! Continued silence is a concern.

Wednesday is the first time since the start of the last lockdown that I will be getting on a train into Moorgate in the City of London.
Luckily, a table of 6 has been booked at the Swan Tavern ( aka The Flying Dog due to some infamous but forgotten incident ) which basically means being outside in a windy passageway off Gracechurch Street, but proper lager will more than makes up for that. I will be happy to buy a beer ( or rum ) for any fellow EUA shareholder that I bump into.
People think I'm crazy, but I've just come out of retirement, again, at the age of 67 to work in the reinsurance market. However, my plan is to invest a large part of my salary in these wonderful EUA shares every month until the FSP or JV or whatever is put on the table. Like many of my age group, this is to provide the best future for our loved ones.
Personally, I still believe that after all this time the BOD are moving to an exit strategy of a full sale and the recent RNS's are positive movements in that conclusion.

Thanks for your responses which pretty much tied in with my understanding of buying and selling within an ISA as often as you like to, hopefully, maximize gains.
To be honest, I was really querying Giraffe's comment " couldn't sell if I wanted to " which inferred that the shares were locked in somehow, which is not the case.

I was intrigued by your comment that " I stuck this in my ISA last tax year and fully contributed, so I couldn’t sell even if I wanted to." My understanding is that you can still buy and sell within the ISA wrapper subject to the maximum original investment of £20,000 per tax year, but perhaps I'm wrong so would welcome your clarification.

I believe the tax year actually ends on Tuesday, 5th April, which gives another 2 and a bit trading days to invest in this stock. Looks like an excellent purchase although MM's could easily drop the price if they want to. Apologies in advance if I have misinterpreted your comments. Cheers

This means 15 major RNS's over 272 calendar days which is about 39 weeks. An average of one major RNS every 18 days.

As a second guess, please put me down for 24 April. I will stick with my original SP estimate of 142p despite the increasing good news.

Whilst your scenario sounds good, the issue for me concerns the payment of tax. Assuming you are classed as an additional rate taxpayer any dividend above the £2,000 allowance would be taxed at 38.1%. A full sale would fall under Capital Gains rules and would be taxed at 20%. That makes a massive difference to your final net take. Obviously any shares held within an ISA or SIPP would be exempt.

An old joke but worth repeating on a quiet Saturday afternoon:

I think this could be a win/win situation as an annual dividend of a more modest 5p with a conservative price/earnings ratio of 15 would still result in a SP of 80p. Holders could then decide to stick or sell to suit their individual needs regarding CGT or income tax, if shares are held outside of a SIPP and/or ISA. A special dividend at the outset would just be icing on the cake.
A nice problem to have but IMO this will be a full company sale.

There have been a number of shares recently were the share price has changed from EUR to GBP. The LSE system indicates the new price at 69.00p ( £0.69 ) compared to last Friday's closing price of EUR 0.73. The computer has noted a mathematical difference of 68.23 and calculated this as an 8000%+ increase. The way London shares are priced in pence has not been taken into account. Sorry not a sudden windfall. Not invested here but good luck.

Good sentiments. In fact, I took my mum up to Stevenage earlier today for her first covid vaccine jab ( Oxford/AZ type ) and pleased to report that the whole process was done and dusted in 15 minutes. Large number of oldies queuing but an example of the NHS at its best. The horror stories of long waits was not true in this case.

Turning to our favourite share EUA, I'm sure the RNS was issued to reign in the increasing sense of pessimism and angst from a growing number of posters. I am keeping the faith until conclusion. The larger this becomes the bigger chance of there being a JV for MT at least.
If I may, my first entry in your competition is 11 March and at a full take-out price of £1.42. Not changed my view, and in fact the RNS today almost persuaded me to go higher!!

I think Geeoff has a point as the awaited RNS for West Kytlim DFS cannot be released until such time as final approval is granted by the Russian authorities. IMO this particular RNS will be delayed for a further week pending their return to work on 11 January. However, I could be wrong and this could change on Monday if the approval was actually granted late yesterday after London had closed or even today if they are still working.

Hard to believe but Dodds dropped sports betting off the ballot only in July. We are now in for the long wait to 2022 but, of course, anything can happen in the interim to get the SP moving. The current 30% spread inhibits any desire to top up at the moment.

The temperature in Perm Krai ( Krai being a geographical administrative division within Russia ) in which, I believe, WK lies is currently -7c ( but feels like -13c due to wind ) with light snow showers. Perm is 2,220 miles approx. from the UK.

The DFS, once approved, allows all year mining activities so I suggest vodkas all round and a toast of thanks to our stalwart workers.
