Barclays downgrades Disney, says streaming subscriber growth is slowing
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/investment-ideas/article-disney-magic-fades-barclays-downgrades-walt-disney-after-three-years/?cmpid=rss
This is good news for us, as more people return back to work, and with cinemas open and near to full capacity the less they will need these subscriptions.
Hopefully some value will return to our sp. The court case uncertainty isn’t helping, need this out of the way.

For once I agree with you regarding seeing results. We need to see a trading update, we’ve seen plenty of stories in the media about numbers returning back to the cinema with the recent big releases.
I noticed that easyJet & stagecoach have released trading updates this morning. Well done to them.
Yes, I’m well aware of the court case and the debt!!

He’s the only film critic I can watch, even if I don’t agree with him. His attention to detail and translating what most of us would miss is fascinating
Mark gives a very good review of NTTD, and don’t worry he doesn’t give away any spoilers

@ TS
Well said!
@ Raja,
Think you'll find most cinemas have dedicated to screening bond on all their screens from the next couple of weeks. I know my local has and bookings are going fast. And don't forget the walk-ins and last-minuters...
Lawyers on both sides will get a percentage of the settlement, so it's in both their interests to win. Can't see them calling it draw.
Just a layman's opinion
I agree, the email trail shows cineplex would breach the debt covenant had they paid their suppliers. The cineplex lawyers body language looked uncomfortable whilst that evidence was presented
legal requests from the court. They were probalbly all using company devices so employees have disclose any communications made between parties. Also, telephones used by staff in banking and finance who are involved in dealing and large transactions are recorded and these can be kept for 7 years for such situations as this court case
fascinating exchanges, whatever you do. Do Not repeat the contents or any evidence provided. Could get you in trouble
Will watch the first session, but I would image the legalese will go over my head. More curiosity than anything else.
The legal fees will be horrendous, so I hope the case goes in our favour
For those who want to watch the courtroom live stream which starts today @ 10am Canada
