I wasn't expecting to see this kind of news for a while! I'm grateful I didn't succumb to my initial impulse to sell and retreat to the pastry counter at the bakery for comfort.

SP getting crushed. No adverse news headlines today but perhaps the better-than-expected US cpi seeing a bullish move to risk on stocks.

Bought a little more on HL at 61p all-in. Assuming 60p div is paid, the loss is limited after the ex-div date. Any fall after might be worth another punt.

I agree, Eccles. I thought y/day's fall was an overreaction to the company trying to secure a prudent plan for the future and the div is still better than most . I added to my position.
