This week's £1,000 prize is going to the player behind the intriguingly-named “Woodford Fantasy Fund” after a barnstorming 9.4pc return in five days. Could the disgraced former star fund manager really be behind the fantasy portfolio bearing his name?

Judging by that stunning return, well ahead of the 5.5pc from last week's second-placed fund, I doubt it. The manager certainly wasn't in the habit of posting those sorts of numbers in the run-up to his flagship fund's suspension.

Woodford Fantasy Fund, we'll be in contact. But I think it's unlikely Mr Woodford will be taking the call.
