Another PM who holds the interests of a rogue state over and above the citizens and interests of the country she is governing. Double standards of the highest order opposing Putins invasion whilst supporting Israels years of massacres, land grabs and carpet bombing. But since it's the Middle East, nobody gives a toss.

Frutsels, time will tell I guess! Either way, lets hope for peace.
SteJSteJ - Let's be pragmatic. I really can't see Russia or it's ruling body, the security council backing down. Dmitry Medvedev stated yesterday that Odesa is next on the list which will landlock Ukraine. Thus why I think the quickest way to peace is negotiations.
Skippysb01 - I've read an article not long ago stating that in full mobilisation, they can produce military equipment at an alarming rate. what they sent in the SMO is outdated (Some equipment being from WW2...lol!), and they've managed to capture 20% of Ukraine. when they bring the latest weapons to the front then imagine what will happen. Besides that, they haven't even deployed their strategic bombers yet and cruise missiles. Just hoping it doesn't have to come to this.
PartyPooper - I agree. Unfortunately, I think we're here for the long-haul. A slow grind scenario certainly suits Russia.
I wouldn't be too sure. the second wave is incoming....

And with a population of 142 million, they can send wave after wave. As Elon Musk suggested, the quickest way to peace is if Ukraine comes to the negotiating table otherwise I'm afraid it's more death and destruction on both sides and the world will be worse off!
Unfortunately, the clown doesn't realise that when Russia brings in the next wave of reinforcements, that it'll be even more destruction for his country. And god forbid, if it's full mobilisation then Ukraine will be left decimated before Russia retreats. Clown leader, shambolic outcome. All EU leaders are cursing him as they know a harsh winter is upon us. Except they can't speak out in the open incase uncle Sam hears.
TheBeastofBodmin, good response. I absolutely agree, that Putin was wrong to go into this war. However, when Russia has been barking on about red lines for decades, you really have to question what role NATO has played in aggravating the situation. When Trump was in power, the Biden-Ukraine fiasco wasn't for nothing......and that was quickly hushed up and brushed underneath the carpet. It is documented that the Biden family have a huge sum of wealth invested in Ukraine. The overthrow of the democratically elected government of yanakovich was overthrown in the orange revolution and he was replaced by this current clown. Another illegal regime change. I can give many more examples of how we've agitated Russia. What did we expect? That Putin just sits by and watches on?
Agree Tim. Had the Republicans been in power then I don't think this war would have taken place. At the end of the day, Russia knows it's a resource rich country. EUA is an example of precious resources the world needs. It's just that Putin doesn't want Russia to be cover come by the economic hitman.

If Russia was to break a peace treaty going forward then there would be a legitimate reason for NATO to be hostile. The fact of the matter is, that it was Ukraine which failed to adhere to the Minsk accord which is the root of the war we see today. It really isn't difficult the understand.
Listen to what he said Ricardo. Regardless of who it is, what he states is all backed by facts. The peace negotiations did indeed take place in Turkey and a treaty signing was very close until sleepy Joe stepped in.

“It may be dangerous to be America’s enemy, but to be America’s friend is fatal.”
European and other currencies getting shafted almost like a controlled demolition. When will the EU take a stand? Russian Ruble seems to be doing well though!

That's right Skippy,
Russia decided to sabotage their own energy infrastructure which gave them some sort of leverage over Europe. Meanwhile, the Norway-EU pipeline that opened yesterday which is right next to NS-2 was left undamaged....LOL!
But you keep your head buried under the sand pal.
Have a good day!

Couldn't be clearer. This lady who once said "FCUK THE EU!" is hell bent on shafting the EU & it's citizens at any cost.

GAZALA69 - It wouldn't pain me at all if the west win, but i look at everything pragmatically. If your definition of the West winning in Ukraine is the complete withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukrainian territory then you are deluded sir. Russia is a superpower and the Russian security council will not back down from what they've started. As stated by Jordan Peterson, is a decimated Ukraine really a western victory? Is the west really that selfish that they want Ukraine to fight Russia on their behalf to the last Ukrainian? More than 2/3 of Russians support Putin whether you like it or not and that is a fact they don't tell you on the MSM. Again i'm on the Wests side on this, but pragmatically speaking, our own economies are getting shafted, energy bills eyewatering, people going homeless, interest rates going sky high, unemployment increasing. For what? To defend Ukraine for oppressing the people of the Donbass for 14+ years? I just want there to be peace and don't have the warmongering brass neck like some on here. The EU must make the sensible decision going forward. Do they want to escalate or listen to Russia's legitimate concerns? I know what I'd pick for the sake of our future generations.
Skippysb01 - Did you see the videos taken in Kiev, of Ukrainian generals snatching people off the streets in front of their wives and children to go fight on the frontline against their will? Stop with your BS narrative. This is real war we're talking about and you'll always find people not willing to leave their families and fight. It's happening on both sides.
Exactly. So this notion that the West will win in Ukraine is all just a smokescreen when you consider the negative externalities we've brought upon ourselves by imposing these useless sanctions. Energy prices going through the roof, economies in recession, more and more people going hungry etc....
I think Victor Orban is spot on in his position regarding sanctions on Russia. He sees that we're at a crossroads and that if efforts ain't made towards peace, the future looks bleak.
It would be wise for World leaders to urge Ukraine to let the Donbass go and seek a renewed peace agreement with Russia.

Referring to Putin's speech about partial mobilisation, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo urges EU countries to remain calm and not add fuel to the fire, says we must not provoke (Russia).
