I believe that as an intelligent man, he was probably a little more open minded, and realised that different tools are appropriate for different time horizons. I'm surprised that you didn't learn that in your over 50 years of investing. This is essentially a cyclical stock fully priced for a return to its normal cyclical peak activities in the next few years, hence not deeply discounted, especially with the current level of interest (discount) rates. The management of this company (yes, I know they have changed at the top) would not have passed the Buffet test, and it remains to be seen whether or not the appointment of a new man will prove a sufficient value catalyst over the medium term.

Well said! For those who think this is a cheap share.....FY23 PE =25x FY24 PE = 14 FY 25 PE =11. All of those forecasts must assume a complete return to normality in flying hours, and SMRs will not be making a contribution tp profits in that period. No institutional investor will be tempted in these prices. It's a low-price stock, not a cheap stock - important to know the difference.
No idea who Simes is........
You have too much of your own identity invested in this stock ("real men", "real investors"), that's why you have lost money on it. Ultimately, only the market price is right, not our PBT forecasts. This stock is dead money until well after Xmas, and pretty soon there will be lots of more attractive opportunities in the market.
