If they can't clear a minimal amount of silt in a few days then they might as well shut the (ahem) gates until the next dry season. The northern area was ready for coal extraction when they shut down, It would be unreasonable to think that mining will not go ahead before the end of August. ILTL will increase production to satisfy the expected new customers.
There's little point in in arguing over something that will be decided in the coming few weeks.

The markets are now well aware of the mine opening, the next boost should be the contracts in place. EDL will spend the next month preparing the site for ILTL to take over the running of the mine and the acceleration of production, how they cope with the wet season remains to be seen. The MC at the moment does not reflect the value of the latest news releases. E

Two New Coal Supply Contracts Signed for up to 9,000 tonnes per Month, RNS Dec. 11/19,accounting for 75% of the wash plant capacity, plus long term existing contracts. ILTL 3k tons per month increasing to 5k tons per month, plus new customers, there has to be more investment in plant, I assume ILTL intend to expand the operations over the next year and beyond.

A curios decision on Tanesco's part, obviously CPPs are still on the agenda, so why haven't we heard anything, perhaps our poor efforts at production were a problem or are Tanesco waiting for the expansion of the coal mine and increased investment in the necessary plant, whatever the reason I would be surprised if EDL's CPP was not given the go ahead but that is speculation on my part. In the meantime profitable commercial coal production is the immediate target. E
