Mitsu being involved naturally points to SEE, Also, we are in Stellantis:

Whatif. We've seen some versions of SEE with just 2 LEDs in a vertically aligned pair. If Colin is basing his 1 x LED thing on the pics attached to the article, the LED is only illuminated in one of them and there is space for another under it.

It's through Valeo as T1 so not VW, which is Magna.

I think BMW and Stellantis are via Valeo. Maybe Renault too?

Re Japan win, it says 'leading Jap OEM' which would suggest Toyota. Could be others but Toyota have Lexus.

No they haven't ISB, It'll be Smarteye, could even be us but I have a feeling they got Daimler Trucks. The hardware will be in house but the eye tracking algo's won't. They all claim the systems as their own.

Yeah, not even pairs of LED's. I think it's their in-house system.

Here is the key takeaway for me from the Volkswagen Group presentation by Pedro Almeida here at #incabin. Putting #DMS #OMS into the mirror as a single optical path solution leads to about a 30% cost saving compared to a dual optical path approach using two separate imager modules. We’ve never seen that statistic in public before and it comes straight from VW. Where VW leads we can expect other OEMs to follow so this is the start of a key trend. VW was incredibly brave to approach this solution this way. Kudos to tier 1 Magna International and tier 2 Seeing Machines for bringing this solution to market with VW. What a great start to InCabin.

**update** VW will go to SoP with this solution in both ICE and EV models. It is a fully packaged product requiring only moderate changes to the wiring loom. That is a major differentiator.

Is this the first time the SEE/Magna - VW collaboration has been officially announced? Millions of units in China alone. Europe is pretty tasty too.

2 pairs arranged L & R with RH pair horiz aligned and LH pair V aligned.

Tobii one was all horiz.

I'm really not convinced. I've seen two different LED patterns in various vids and pics of the ix3 and this one looks like the SEE version. We'd need a video to be sure as we could tell if it had the variable flash rate patented by SEE.

Ahh yes, the SEYE effort. There are lots of films with owners slating the incredibly irritating/annoying DMS
