The company says its “saliva protein test” - which is sold to corporate customers for £29.99 each and needs to be administered by a doctor or nurse - can tell individuals both whether they have had Covid-19 in the past and whether they have the virus now.
But testing experts have raised concerns that these claims are “misleading”, given that it is an antibody test and antibodies only tend to develop several days after infection. For this reason, the World Health Organisation does not recommend the use of antibody-detecting rapid diagnostic tests to find cases of current infection.”
Nothing new but more interest:
“He said a negative result would give Brits a “freedom pass” — allowing people to mingle like they did before Covid.
But this morning Transport Secretary Grant Shapps admitted that the new tech wasn't ready yet.
He told Sky News: "This is technology that, to be perfectly blunt, requires further development - there isn't a certified test in the world that does this but there are people that are working on prototypes."
He added: "We know this isn't simple to achieve, but we hope it will be possible through technology and new tests to have a test which works by not having to return the sample to a lab."

Fantastic quote by Bruce Schneier **(June 2019)**
“ When the next pandemic strikes, we’ll be fighting it on two fronts. The first is the one you immediately think about: understanding the disease, researching a cure and inoculating the population. The second is new, and one you might not have thought much about: fighting the deluge of rumors, misinformation and flat-out lies that will appear on the internet.”

“The effect of COVID-19 on certain sectors was pronounced, with travel and oil, amongst others, particularly badly hit. This was seen in the dramatic decline in the value of the Fund's holdings of Hurricane Energy and Equals Group. Whilst Hurricane has had to cope with company specific issues, as detailed below in the Investment Adviser's report, it has also had to contend with very weak oil prices, which in April turned negative for a short period. Truly unprecedented.”
“The same strategy of constructive engagement to unlock value continues in particular at Hurricane, Allied Minds, Equals Group and GI Dynamics, all of which are trading at significant discounts to what the Fund considers to be fair value. The specific approaches to these and other investee companies are set out in more detail in the Investment Adviser's report, but the Board continues to believe that these initiatives will bear fruit and that we will see meaningful progress this year.”

Re. Sky news, sorry! I’m just catching up here and have got to your post. They featured a fella from the London School of Tropical Med. but unfortunately nothing relating to avct.
Sadly the news seems to be totally dominated by CV and testing issues in particular.
I can’t imagine the potential market being any bigger and have felt for a long time that volume production is the biggest issue.
