Plus we have JET2 confirming they are on target for full year profit and their shares are up 1.1% when the FTSE 100 is down 2%.
Plus the airports are so busy they need more staff.
So WIZZ air sp is down 4.7%.
Makes no sense at all.

Maybe the market is finally listening to the reported news.
JET2 RNS just this morning:-
"Pleasingly, the difficult return to normal operations experienced in early Summer 2022 due to the lack of planning and investment by many airports and associated suppliers, has abated significantly".
Brent crude DOWN ABOUT 10% IN JUST A FEW DAYS.
Airports so busy THEY ARE STRUGGLING TO COPE!!!............................

today basicaly says that the problems at the airports have "abated significantly".
The market seems to have decided to completely ignore that comment.
It has also decided to ignore the fact that the oil price has fallen about 10% in the last few days.
All in all the market is a complete joke, ignoring positive facts as if they don't exist.
It will bounce as these facts can't be totaly ignored for long.

No real reason other than maybe a large holder has bailed out would be better than an actual factual reason if you see what I mean. The former and the sp is likely to recover. The later and it may not. 6% is a lot for Rolls as we all know. The airlines are still flying as far as I am aware! In fact they are very busy with pent up demand including taking familes to see loved ones in other Countries that they have not seen for what......... 2 years at least. The pent up demand for this I think will carry on for a few years.

Also of course Brent crude is some $12 lower than it was just 2 days ago. Now $93.
17% of airline costs is fuel.
40% of IAG's fuel is not hedged so their cost for that fuel will have gone down about 10%.
I find it pretty astonishing the airline shares are not up today.
It's amazing, defies logic.............. bounce will happen soon back to I suppose just the £1.10.

This is clearly GOOD NEWS FOR ALL AIRLINE Co's.
IMHO IAG should be more like £1.25 than the current £1.06. Mad.

Rolls Royce is in a far better position than it was, that is for sure.
When all the airplanes were gounded due to covid obviously Rolls were in deep trouble as most of their earnings come from aviation in one form or another as I understand it. All the airlines have now been up and running for about a year and they are reporting bookings that are in some cases more than they can handle due to staff shortages. JET2 today in their AGM statement said the problems at the airports due to staffing issued have vastly improved. On the negative side no doubt is being hit by the huge rise in energy costs. However it seems to me the life blood on Rolls, being the aviation industry, is back and those profits will counter any negatives........... easily.
Rolls also have the modular nuclear which I think wil be a massive winner in years to come.
Just decided to buy having thought this through. Just bought @ 74p.
