We are living with the fear that Ecuador could nationalise cascabel. Any other worry regarding Ecuador is trivial by comparison. I just wish we would hurry up and flog solg so that we are no longer exposed to the vagaries of Ecuadorian politics.

I have been to Davao, General Santos, and Tacurong City. As a Western, no problems encountered. Mind you, that was in 2001.

I agree Jerry, no 1 person has the skills set to lead a company through its various stages of growth. NM has proved himself as an Explorer. It is now up to Scott to prove that he his a deal maker and not just a person who only bangs on about the rocks. He has until the 2024 agm prove himself.

Thank you for your thoughtful response Jerry, much appreciated. I guess I have some appreciation of NM because he found the deposit and placed us on the map. Plus, the SP wasn't this bad under his watch from the time I bought solg. Plus, he knew what to say to keep the market interested.

My biggest worry with Scott is that he will drop the ball and we will end up missing the commodity bull Market! If he can deliver this year, then he would have redeemed himself in my eyes.

Prior to this, only the covid epoch was the lowest SP I experienced here. Not so easy to obfuscate solg SP performance from the missis because I previously had to big up the company to her so that I could invest here. Anyway, here I am in this hotel California share😔

Well CMG, you can wait another 10 years if you are a young person. I am middle age and I was hoping to get my money back while I am still young enough to enjoy it. The people here in their 70s have become desperate and are ramping this share with evangelical zeal because they know that time is running out.

I wish to point out that all the ramping, and positivity didn't prevent this share from plunging from 40p to 5p+. So much for being positive!!

add, sadly, my wife is getting fed up of hearing that solg will become a profitable investment this year....then this year came and went. now it would appear that 2024 will be equally as disappointing as 2023. the only yardstick i use to measure a ceo's performance is the value of their company's sp. what a disappointment solg has turned out to be.

Mentally I have written off this share BBG. However, my moto is expect the worst, hope for the best. Hopefully, Scott The Rocks Caldwell will be booted out at the 2024 agm and someone more capable will take over. I am curious what reasons Add will come up with why we should keep Scott 🤔

DBW, like most here, I am so far down that I can't be bothered to sell up. I have in fact written off this investment as a lost cause. A lot of the flash Harry types on here won't admit that they are down. No Add, no relationship to Ms Abbott. However, I can see why you would get that impression with me having invested in solg! Never mind multi-generational mining, at this rate, it will be my great grandchildren who may benefit here!! Assuming of course Ecuador doesn't take back the concessions due to lack of progress!!
