Life sciences research outfit SkinBioTherapeutics (LON:SBTX) has announced that its SkinBiotix treatment has shown efficacy in its first human study. The treatment was found to be safe and well tolerated in all 129 trial participants over 29 days. However, in most groups the difference in skin condition between the treatment and vehicle outcomes were minor at the end of the test period.

Health products are easy to get to market; medical products are not. The study, itself, has to adhere to the 'Helsinki Protocol.' The study has to be double blind and then peer reviewed. If you want the active ingredient to be included as a medical product this process takes years in terms of market valuation and extensive trials. Countries also have different parameters. The costs are huge and you need an external agency to manage this. If you think you're going to hear about good news about the trial(s) and then into the market within 12 months. This is a long haul flight with huge costs and potential third party manufacturers getting involved. NO QUICK FIX HERE. Look at Opti... they are still floundering to find the right commercial partners/outlets for their products and that has been years in the making.... and still no real revenues to speak of. Great stories for the RNS

This is what we all should be focusing on.. why would DIRECTORS sell their shares if they thought the long term plan was robust.. you can't deny these facts.... THEY SHOULD BE BUYING HUGE AMOUNTS TO GIVE THE MARKET CONFIDENCE IN THEIR OWN ABILITIES - which they are not..

Totally agree - but listed companies are all based on performance or hype... eventually the hype dissipates and revenues are key... the R&D and IP are critical but they need the commercial routes to market... they need a large powerhouse to commercialise their range but so far this hasn't happened. I've worked in several sectors and this is biggest hurdle of all.. that's where they need a new commercial director/ceo who has relationships with these global partners. easier said then done unfortunately.

Because it's called a reality check... Opti split into 2 (which was purely to increase funding and share volume). They were up to circa 71p (which was based o n market hype). Opti SP was also based on hype (not revenues)... There's comes a point where sentiment is worth zero and investors want to see revenue streams (not smoke and mirrors)

Sold up (bought in a few years ago when I thought it could go places) not lived up to the hype.. this is going down to circa 2p.. switched to Opti (which is still down) but will probably claw back to middle 30's

:) always bet on Musk... a share price doesn't grow this quickly on one day unless something in the background is going on. Opti's science is spot on and it hasn't really been commercially appreciated before. I've heard through Zuck that good news or great news is coming shortly. Teens sp us close. Lots of sells at the end of the day to those SH who bought in high (I totally get in) but new investors will reap the rewards. Not ramping just an investor who bought in at the right time due to market news coming...
