I think dilution will be offset with large scale buying....I predict a low of 1.06 then a slow rise over a few weeks to plateau at around 1.30 for a while. Just a guess tho, been wrong many many times in the past :) All just my opinion.

I’ve applied for my allocation and the same again, I’ve only got a small holding (not much cash to find) I don’t hold out much hope of getting the extra shares but without trying there is no chance. You’ve gotta be innit to win it as they say. If I don’t get many, I will buy on the dilution price at the time. The money is in the account ready for paying on June 10. @ 1.16 this morning.....I just hope the new management team don’t repeat the past mistakes that drove Kier to these lows. Time will tell.

Could anyone share some of their tax knowledge please.... my wife’s filling in her tax return and are we correct in thinking because the special dividend was a return of capital with a share consolidation, do HMRC need to be informed? as its not income and therefore not taxable.... Just our own money being returned. Tried in vain to contact HMRC about it and got cut off! Any thoughts please. Thanks.

To be at 1.78 was a distant dream a year ago..... it’s come along way up from 70-80p range.

Good to see the positive interest in KNB, huge market and huge potential for this company. Some big money is getting into this. Just getting started. IMO. There will be a time when 18 pence a share was a gift.

Good to see this benchmark attained - if it will hold is another matter. If I recall correctly this is the pre COVID price...Good news for any long suffering long term holders though. Been thru some frights in the last year.

Holding some of these @ 31p, still very early days for this business/sector....happy to hold and see what happens. No great concerns. You have only lost cash when sold at loss.

Looking to get hold of some shares after the fund raising....looks like KIE could be a good recovery play. A full order book, let’s hope the company can capitalise on it.

I was under the impression that the shares are bought back from the market by the company (in this case up to £700m) and then cancelled thus reducing the amount of shares in circulation and increasing shareholder value. In some ways the opposite to a rights issue where your holding is diluted unless you take up your rights by investing more cash in the company.

The buyback is a way around the limits on a divi set by the PRA......Usually done when there is some surplus cash hanging about in the company’s coffers. Any one have any other ideas... just my take on it, opinion.

The dividend was chopped in a panic response by the Old Lady at the start of the COVID crisis. Now we are a year further forward with the pandemic, things are a bit more stable. It’s a good job that Barc is well capitalised and in a good place otherwise we could be waiting years for a divi, like after the banking crisis. It will be restored in small increments.... Patience will be rewarded (eventually). IMO.

Adapt and survive....

Some of the money that would have been spent on holidays and in the hospitality sector will be invested in the stock market and find its way into Barc, with derisory rates of interest in savings accounts. It’s gotta go somewhere to provide a return....The problem is - I can see some industrial disputes if higher inflation is not matched to wage rises. Public sector workers will I fear come off worse out of this. We will see what occurs. All just my opinion.

Damp Squib.... presumably as financial services are not aligned as being part of Brexit it has created a little more uncertainty for the big banks. This could take a while to evolve?

My guess is 1.62 at close of play tomorrow if a deal is done... more smaller rises over the first weeks of January. Only my opinion/guesstimate though.
