Great start with such small area explored so far. 5 years of 50,000 oz production right there to get early production started
"The world’s largest gold company, Newmont Goldcorp (NYSE: NEM)(TSX: NGT) said in a separate statement that it would support Zijin’s bid to acquire Continental by selling its 19.9% equity stake in the Canadian miner and its convertible bond for $260 million."
Not sure if it's good that newmont want to sell up?
At least Cora gold show what they are up to:

The team at Sanankora

Sanankora is not a satellite deposit. It is being drilled along a 14km strike length and will be 1-2M ounces just to a depth of 100m. Beyond 100m depth is all upside on top of SRKs 1-2m ounce target. And that's just on one of many permits. They are currently drilling and testing some of sanankora below 100m to check out the sulphide deposits. Some of the other deposits are closer to hums mine but they are not being drilled extensively yet. Sanankora is a standalone mine whilst cora own it unless hummingbird takeover the whole project. But the 3 biggest shareholders won't let it go cheap. As Bert said in the latest presentation, they have invested for many multiples return and just bought more at 7p fundraising. The biggest return will be to build the mine. And we have big funding inverters being cora.
Big buyer over at cora yesterday. Over 1 Million purchased as drilling well underway. Maiden resource and scoping studying due by year end an results from 5,000m drilling not long after. Hummingbird must be keen to buy out cora. They have spent well over £10M drilling not to mention all the drilling data from Goldfields. After cash has a valuation of around £5M. Would be the quickest and cheapest was for hummingbird to increase resources.
Over 1 Million shares purchased yesterday in 4 transactions. Someone's buying value here
Mineral resource due end of year as well as scoping study. Plan is to take company to production with its own mine from open pits. Costs depend on how big of a mine they want to build. Initially was going to be 50,000 ounces a year or there abouts but from speaking to Bert it sounds like they are considering going straight to 100,000 ounces per year production. Think this is due to confidence in the large scale resource at Sanankora and lower costs overall from building a bigger mine from the start.
And options taken 12% above market price!
Hummingbird had a whole slide on Cora on their latest presentation, so think a lot more is to come from the 2 companies in either a future toll agreement or a buy out like you say of certain land holdings. Mind you with Sanankora being drilled and looking like a strong asset with a standalone mine, it's hard to see hummingbird not buying out cora completely at its current undervaluation.
Big buying going on at 7.5

"We also note that Hummingbird is a significant shareholder at just over 18% and could be considered a potential acquirer of Cora Gold"
"Cora’s Tekeledougou project is located only 6km form Hummingbird’s Yanfolila gold mine. Significant intercepts include 56m grading 2.2g/t Au, 17m grading 6.8g/t Au and 1m grading 35.7g/t Au. Other prospects, Farassabe III, Tagan and Siranikele are also within hauling distance to Yanfolila. As such, we see potential for toll mining agreements with Hummingbird should these prospects prove feasible"

Gold stretching very far it seems. Up to 5,000 meters in strike

Encouraging to see positive statements from recent drilling campaigns:
"Positive results from recent deeper drilling campaigns suggest that the development of a larger project may ultimately be warranted"
