Go it Alone is not an option for development Barryroe Mega, Money,You cannot just stick subsea well heads around on the seabed in 300+ Ft of water.. The Corrib Field is Gas 3000 Ft
In my book PVR did things Wrong from the start. They had the Singleton Field on land Producing 760 Bbls per day, Drill a few wells increase production steady cash inflow, not going around to the share holders with the begging bowl , pretending to be a OIL COMPANY. Drill one more well Helvic Produce with F.P.S.O. Cash Flow.. Then start all this Exploration Bull with a partner that knows the game, As a matter of interest has PVR ever made a discovery??? Just took over when the Big Guns moved out????
Hope you are correct. Like I said before a platform with 20+ slots Big Big Bucks and a lot of expertise which PVR and Lands Don't have.
Always '' Drill Tight Hole''
To develop Barryroe alone Prov + Lands ONE BILLION would be close to the Cash required, Dream on, For any of the top ten to farm in...No1 they will require 51% and be Operators. That is Dr John and Jr sidelined they would be like the rest of us kept in the Dark
The going Day Rate for a Consultant is 2000 to 3000 U.S. $.Worked 20 years as a Drilling Consultant After 20 years in all positions in the Drlg Game from Ass Drlg to Company Man. all over the world, Land and offshore. O'Reilly and J.O.S just don't have it. O'Reilly is a nobody in the Drilling World just like his Daddy remember Atlantic Resources a lot of decent people went bust when they listened to the Ex Rugby Player/ Heinz Beans Man. Jr is a chip of the Old Block . Bye. Bye
There is always a certain amount of Gas But How much????/ Light Crude has SPg of around 8+ P.P.G.Gas 3 0r less P.P.G. So the GAS will Migrate.
Barryroe is deeper than Kinsale more than likely the Kinsale Gas migrated from Barryroe many moons ago
Ballyroe is OIL not GAS. The total consumption of oil in Ireland would require one good well not a huge field. Whitegate is on it's last leg's., There is no way to transport refined products except road tanker. To develop Barryroe you would need 3 platforms Drilling Plt with at least 20 slots. Production Plt with Storage +. Loading Bouy + Hotel Platform. Or pipeline to Bantry that rules out the loading Bouy
Must be one of the Top 10 with knowledge, Technology and MONEY. Barryroe is too big for production by F.P.S.O. Question where do they send the Oil???
What I see as a major problem with Providence is that they are the operators, JOS is a geologist all the rest are moneymen. They have nobody with Drilling, development, Production or planing.experience. Barryroe is a huge field and unless they get a company like Total as Operators they are going nowhere. Full Stop.
where have all the experts disappeared to ??
P.V.R./ L.O.G.P do not have the cash to produce Barryroe More important they do not have the technology, Dr John's Phd does not give him the authority to make any decisions aboard a drilling rig. In fact an Ass Driller has more authority. Drilling Rig's are not run by Bullsh.....s. This is why Drillers get paid 1500 U.S. a day and have to renew their cert every 2 years.
Helvic Should be in Production for the past 3 years Using a F.P.S.O. Generating cash Flow . but Dr John likes to prove himself with a big discovery, as I said before he is a Geologist not a Production Eng.
Young T.O.R. is like old T.O..R. I remember the Sedco 704 drilling 49/9 Helvic. Atlantic Resources All BUlLL...Made a lot of people go bust??? J.O.S. is a Geologist Now a Dr thanks to a cushy number Dublin.. All the rest are money men. Very surprised at Pat. That is why Ballyroe is on hold ..Between the lot of them they don't have a clue about Drilling and Production
Hi. Drumbeg Salt Water. uid Oil /Gas. My banker is Ballyroe proven field' What people don't realize Is the total amount used in Ireland is around 175000 Bbls per day. 32 counties. The only method of distribution is road tanker no rail link no pipeline. Bantry as a loading Terminal is an option. Pipeline to Milford Haven? Briexit? Pipeline to France.?Gas is a different story all the infastructure is in place including a Gas plant at Middleton. Ballyroe to develop Would Cost a Shitload of money. Something like Ekofisk in Norway. P.S. I first went to ekofisk in 1975 there for 10 years
with regards Icemax and Drilling Mud. If Icemax took a Gas Kick. You shut the well in , as you can Not allow your shut in casing pressure to be greater than M.A.A.S.P. ( Max Allowed Annular Surface pressure, this pressure was why you did a Leak off Test after drilling out the casing shoe.) You increase your Md wt. When you start to circulate new mud you bleed off mud from annulas keeping your casing pressure steady.Below M.A.A.S.P. This is just one way of circulating out a Kick. you do not remove the riser and send to Aberdeen for new B.O.P. All Rigs have Gas Buster, choke manifolds, Desanders, Desilters. shale Shakers. also Weight Material to increase Mud Wt. Bye for now
if Icemax set 13.3/8 casing at drumbeg cap rock, carried out leak off test which gives M.A.S.P. O.K. If set 9.5/8 at drumbeg they now have to run 7 ins casing before drilling cap rock at Druid and establish new M.A A.S.P. I would be very surprised if they had 7ins casing on board or in Cork ,therefor trip to Aberdeen. Regards B.O.P. rating All offshore b.o.p. are rated at least 10000 p.s.i whether Icemax, Platform or Jack Up. 10000 P.s.i.working press is tested @ 15000 p.s.i . M.A.A.S.P is the crucial factor if you have an influx of Gas Boyles Law. P1 V1 = P2 V2 20 Bbl's @ 10000 ft is Massive at surface. That's it for now
With regards to drilling operation on Icemax being discussed by the regular panel.of wanabe experts. GC Trader is the only one with knowledge of Drilling. All the rest should hold on to the Day Job I don't think Exxon or Shell will be giving them a call anytime soon> Good for a Laugh. Ships running all the time with cuttings They are drilling a eight and half inch hole not driving a tunnel .Work it out 2000ft X 8 1/2 ins Capacity ????
Suzy2. Most rocks are porous, Sandstone/limestone shale. Granite is a solid mass not porous. If when drilling you cut core in porous rock and it contains oil when you bring to surface If you stand portion Of core you will see it bleed. What a D.S.T (flow Test) does. You will flow the well the same as production conditions , And observe .Choke size,Pressure , If pressure Drop/ Pressure build up after shut in period, oil samples Quality of oil. if sulpher/ tar content. Spg Oil Water Content NOTE when people talk about SIDETRACK this is a very complex proscedure It's not like driving a car stick out your indicator and turn left/right
