Any of you guys follow Level 2 charting - depth of activity for ACA, or any other technical charts for ACA? Would appreciate a chartists perspective, please?

My brother in SA tells me that the faction fight in Barberton is just about who supplies the workforce. Faction fights are par for the course, I am sorry to say for SA. Funny I never saw the reply button until right now! I am making enquiries about the civil unrest in Barberton. One has to expect political volatility. In a year when the zumite is increasingly likely to become impotent but needs to fill his trough and make sure he does not sit in a orange suite for the rest of his career with his 16 beauts in a firepool!

Was not aware of this problem but, it is symptomatic of all of southern africa, I'm afraid. Leadership from top downwards leave much to be desired. The mining sector is under siege not only from communities because of high levels of joblessness and dissatisfaction with basic non-delivery of services (such as sewage and water). Law and order is not adhered to, the police sometimes seem to be impotent and even corrupt from top downwards to deal with such matters. Tragic consequences, imho. But, remember fortunes were made in the 60's to 80's (when there was civil turmoil) from the gold mining industry, so don't be deterred!

Lennie, Endeavour on a quick look, seem to be a smart outfit looking to expand. Why would Barrick want to let go of their Tanzanian assets besides the little clash with the tax authorities there? Anybody with news of progress on this merger, kindly share this with us on this board, please? Any news would do! ACA has a history of meteoric rises and falls. The previous rumour with one of the SA Gold Miners - the sp rose significantly only to fall as spectacularly, so beware!

So now what are they up to? Any guesses? Future plans? To my mind, if there is future investment in a resource, I would venture outside SA. The government and workers are too problematic down south. Botswana or Namibia perhaps? Copper, the new gold recently discovered there? Anybody attending the early Feb meeting?

We always announce production results on a 100% basis as that is how we announced the project to increase to 80,000 ozs WE do own 49% of the equity but as there are unpaid loans relating to the equity participation of the Indigenous shareholders, we participate in about 80% of the cash flow/economic value of the mine. This will be the case until the loans are fully repaid in about 5-7 years' time. Obviously as we get closer to repayment the economic interest moves from 80% to 49% on a progressive basis. Not going to get excited here until the rise is sustained. As an optimist, that makes me feel deflated when the recent small rises drop back to 15ish! Let's see! Trump please make a speech about your bad old past at your inauguration!LOL!
