Metro paying da bonds and my sole metro stock is my best performer this past week which says my portfolio selection is off

Isn’t simply ws just one of those algorithm websites that generates content much like motley fool?
Wouldn’t put much thought into it..

Our big problem is we are a barometer of market activity so volatility like this is great for us, the tragedy is we are part of the market so subject to the same volatility in share price....

We need a good period of sideways IMO.

I think this drop is overblown but it would be silly not to assume the same...

Look at all the smaller shares and the volume is rubbish, less trading less profits, could kind of see the writing on the wall when Robin Hood cashed out ..
Last year was amazing for brokers ect..
The thing is if we keep on going markets will be fun again soon abs we will have revs..

More money we don’t have to pay for with rising rates around the corner is good, genuinely can’t believe you have such a narrow veiw when the interim dividend is paying 1.5% which is good. Stronger balance sheet better earnings next year, better dividend for you.
People like this trash buisiness like vampiric leaches and then you wonder why the share price doesn’t grow?

Why don’t some of you just buy corporate bonds and be done with it?
Would rather Lloyds use most of its earnings to fuel further cash generation than pay it to you..
Stocks are not meant to be dividend machines and we are only just out of a bad year, if you want divs but national grid or whatever...

Like I don’t get it, we all hope for an earnings beat or in metros case losing less.. it’s all been laid out for you, Fitch laid it out, management... yet when it does lose everyone loses their mind as if you weren’t even told it would happen?..
Isn’t gonna magically turn profit and shares pop..

Oh well nvm enjoy holders same story over at gsk all these ceos know how to do is be accountants no idea how to grow buisiness.

I wonder if metro could come into its own in a higher rate environment? Better service lower account rates?

I would like to see the breakdown of the tasty trade user growth and igindex separately... revenue and profit too... I can’t help feel we spent badly.

If we did get ftse 100 all the tracker funds would have to pick us up though admittedly as Matt has said it isn’t yet on the cards but that would give us a kick
