I work for Tesco and I invest in both the Save As You Earn and Buy As You Earn share schemes. I do re-invest dividends as it helps to accumulate shares that I will eventually use to supplement my retirement which is still over 30 years away!
£5 end of the year?
Nope...I know no one. All I said was that I sold at £10.85 due to the results making a loss. Due to a plunge in silver and gold prices and with the results imho being a worry, I sold. thats all. And with no inflation, I wont buy in yet. That is just my opinion. Take it or leave it. Good luck all.
Gold price is a worry. Sold out at 10.85 taking a hit of around 8% but not as bad as selling at £9. There is a good video on Fres on The Mötley Fool website. The results coming up are a worry considering the plunge in gold and silver prices. The curb in Gold imports by India will also mean more on the open market. Just too much of a risk for me. Good luck all. I hope this works out. Thanks again to the contributor who recommended Max Kaiser on RT. Very informative.
It's hard also to judge the prices of gold and silver. I read one place it has bottomed out and others say it has further to fall. With no inflation and Qe having what I can see as little impact, it is tough to call. New BoE governor will bring a new direction. I just hope we don't turn into another Kaz. I can only feel sorry for their shareholders.
There are a number of factors when trading or holding shares. The element of risk you are prepared to take is first. Can you afford to take the hit if it comes or not. Stocks go up and down. Are you prepared to maybe buy more to help with the average? I think at the moment there are other issues affecting this share. The gold and silver prices are fundamental and at the moment we have global issues namely a possible China slowdown, growth in the Eurozone and more importantly what the Fed is doing with QE and tapering. Sometimes it is better to take the hit and sell than keep and hope in my opinion but that is my opinion. We shall see what happens in the next few months. Do your own research at all times though. Regarding the bottom - it is hard to know. I hope so but this is trading. GLA.
Hi all. Bought in at £1167 after selling Thomas Cook for a 35% profit. Mining seems to be stuck despite the FTSE rallying. This share looks good for the long term and just hope in the future we can see the highs of the start of the year, GLA DYOR.
