Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
The new airport set to open imminently, I expect ezj to announce their dominant role at the airport and open up a whole new set of routes! They strangely bought up all of AirBerlin in 2018 at Tegel for a loss but strategically I think they will sink Ryanair in the German market.
Announcement was smart, don't surprise investors on results, forewarn them, price it in, results come better than expected. Ezj dropped more than the others as they were on a rally and others moving sideways. Hasn't yet broken trend, still bullish although at the bottom end.
Ryanair doesn't seem to be performing quite as well right now, easyJet look to dominate Berlins brand new (lol) airport, tech seems to be running out of steam, cyclicals seem to be ready for recovery, traders back after summers break. Sure there's going to be a dip before a full recovery, will the dip be lower than todays price, that's unsure. I think its best to not think about the quarantines status right now and think about who will recover best with a lions share of the market. Is easyJet making a move to be a stronger player in European travel? I would trade Luton for Berlin Brandenburg anyday.
Broken major resistance, waiting to break 652, any close today above that would be a positive sign of a continuation of a bull run. I'd like to see a run up to 1000 before a pull back.
A lot of positivity has come from the Fed's speech and market optimism. Surprisingly the new quarantine rules haven't affected EZJ I presume because they don't have huge stakeholds in those countries listed yesterday. I think the next set of results aren't as much about performance but outperformance of the competitors, EZJ might just have the edge there. Gatwick posting a big loss may mean opportunities arise for the cash positive airlines to swoop in for additional services.
I would also be interested in how much they are earning from the price hikes in the rush back to UK before the new rules come into effect. Some of those seats sold for over a 1000% of what they were worth a day before.
.. and it sounds like EZJ is looking for aggressive recovery. I wonder how long until they start buying up new and improved slots and routes.
This RNS with the government announcement of local quarantines and a tax levy reduction could see quite some quick movement.
Looks like some great buys coming in, very strong share!
Like I said, outside of the UK lockdown the views are extremely different. The UK is not allowing common sense to rule the people and instead using stringent rules. Germany is very much ready to go back to international work. The only thing holding it back is the lack of fairs and exhibitions in the immediate time which were all cancelled ahead of time. Flights resume here 15th June without a quarantine period.
It's too quick of a priced in recovery. It'll be harder to unsteady airline stocks then cruises. My office is directly opposite TUI cruises. I am not sure specifically but I believe its the rehearsal and training for all the different on board shows. There are they are down to 2 employees staffing the centre compared to the 100's usually there rehearsing and training. When I hear the singing out my office again, I'll start piling back in ;)
Easyjet has more potential for a move higher, a lot of flying can be attributed to travel for work, none of the cruise bookings can be justified for work. Im over in Germany so seeing outside of the UK ban the lockdown is eased greatly and there is an itching for business travel.
I sold out this morning, it was too tempting with the spike and considering the downgrade this morning. I would hope the chronology of news events would see the set sail date delayed which will probably price itself in over the next time, followed by a surge from more pharma news.

Carnival Steakhouse
When will get any info about onboard refurbs. Totally right that money is being burnt without customers, but more money would be burnt if they refurbed during tourist season. Would be nice to hear about some onboard cinema deals made etc. I would expect an update pre booking. Checking the boats positions, a majority of the boats set to sail first are floating together near the Bahamas with a transport boat between them.
