Again excellent update from COPL… You know what happens when gas injection volumes are lifted(right now it’s a 1/3 of peak rates)? 👀🛢️📈

And just for the naysayers there is a DIRECT correlation between gas injection volumes and higher oil production😄

2000 bopd will be blown out of the water once the system is online with maximum gas rates being pushed into the field :D

While we wait for the JV which can really land anytime, we have two pieces of positive news which should land this month…

• Production update with June figures including info about additional conversions and possibly re-completions

• Update on gas gathering system upgrade works and confirmation of completion

And to remind everyone why the gas gathering system upgrade is pivotal for the company…a repost of some figures I put together recently…

I’ve done calculations on the 9 wells part of phase 1a GGS upgrades, Peak vs Current monthly output…

Peak:

41,378 barrels of oil

1379 bopd(30 day average)

Current:

10,133 barrels of oil

338 bopd(30 day average)

Potential gain back to original peak output from the 9 wells after upgraded GGS in place;

+31,245 / +1041 bopd

Once the new high pressure gas gathering system is in place it’s easy to see what will happen with oil production…previous peak should be surpassed fairly quickly imo👍

This was confirmed in the Q1 release simmo… $20m is available to COPL but I believe there’s a clause which may delay an RBL in the short term hence the choice to not draw on this facility…

The second point you make is true… however Art did say he wanted more reserves booked before an signing an RBL and after the first re-completion went well things abruptly were brought to a halt and we’ve only done 1 more since…did you notice Art didn’t go into detail about the game changing second re-completion?

my opinion is the JV has influenced this…JV signed then RBL will follow…

Then there’s little old COPL sitting on 1bn+ barrels of oil…unlikely the Joint Venture Party would walk away without signing a deal as other large/major oil companies are clearly on the hunt :)

Assets: $100m+, Booked oil reserves: 33.8m barrels of oil(Prices at $2 per barrel which is fire sale prices is worth $67.6m, Gas injected in the ground(Can be sold): $60m, OIP under COPLs land 1+ billion barrels of oil(Let’s price it at $0.5c per barrel as it’s not booked and factor in only 50% recovery which would make the asset worth $250m…

So from the above… $12m MCAP but COPL is sitting on a value of $477.6m with some heavily discounted figures and I haven’t even factored in carbon capture and storage potential(Another money printer for oil companies)…

Now we’ve had the first piece news which was indeed positive as expected we can now look forward to what’s coming next…

The next pieces of positive news that we should expect this month…

There’s also the chance a RNS could land confirming a JV has been signed but the 2 things stated above are more likely…

COPL is starting to gain some traction hitting targets and the SP should reflect this in the coming weeks/months🤝

The figures are impressive from Northwoods seeing as the average is around 100 boe/d per 1000ft and they have wells flowing well above above that🤝

And the answer to your question is yes…

34-20v was converted from flowing to pumping-flowing in April

44-21v was converted from flowing to pumping-flowing in May

A third one was also done in May but we don’t know which well… my suspicions are it was one of COPLs high producing horizontals but that hasn’t been confirmed yet😄

I also picked up in the latest release field injection rates were lifted slightly in May…could Art be prepping for GGS completion? Hmmm😊

There’s still some wells choked quite heavily due to amount of gas flow back they have, particularly 22-27 which is next to the gas plant…

Current flow: 676

Peak flow: 6448

Once the upgraded gas gathering system is place the only way is up :)

Also the second converted well 44-21v showed an immediate increase in oil flow going from 67 to 89 bopd which is a 33% gain and confirms ‘again’ the works are having an immediate impact…

Two things which were confirmed whilst doing this was that there is a direct correlation between higher gas injection rates & increase oil output, also when higher gas injection rates are pushed in the gas will move from east to west which should affect 3 of the higher producing wells first🤝
