How's that hat Ace ?
Good amicable and enjoyable catchup earlier with the usual suspects plus some spouses, Retro and Deanosbooty... do recommend these get-togethers on odd occasionsthey come about. Cheers friends !
Count me in as well please Ace
Hi Mapp,
Whole board needs to go for people to get any confidence back ... been taking the *iss for too many years !
Well i'm proud of you Ace, same as Red... But maybe West Ham have the edge at the moment lol !
Hi Barna,
I do think I understand the benefits of taking on Telfer at a 'bargain price' (if it can be called that) using current costs etc.
My question surrounds taking on the costs that Newcrest currently contribute that will all of the sudden be passed to us (and how we propose to overcome or use that to our benefit if possible)... e.g. by charging to continue processing the telfer ore and perhaps taking on others ore processing (but am guessing thats pie-in-the-sky at the moment).
Thanks Bamps, not expecting anyone to be able to answer in detail, but perhaps open a discussion between those who can reasonably add their considered opinion to a discussion would be good.
Not necessarily a negative if revenue continues (or maybe not at all) but needs to be taken into account as could be an issue... sure Shaun and co will have thought about this, but doesnt seem to have been discussed here unless i've missed before.
Thanks
Question should probably be directed at Shaun I guess, but Bamps/Paddy and others I respect, processing costs (I think Shaun said at the Townhall was £643)... what are our NEW rough costs expected to be if we take on Telfer ?
I haven't seen this mentioned at all that I recall.
" scarecrow at the moment in rags at 8 pence !" well as Rod the Bod said, "you wear it well" !
Anyone listening to this?... any thoughts on the changes from 2024 ?
Did ask Shaun if we could have a 'meet the board' as per someone elses request during the meeting, but enhanced by explaining what they are doing/leveraging in their role on the board... Shaun said that is unlikely to happen, but assured me that they will be using their contacts and knowledge to further our positioning over coming period.
So although still have some doubts, am looking forward to seeing the results of their input.
Last night, Shaun was praising the new lawyer fella that they have bought in with respect of unravelling and understanding the complexities... pretty sure a lot of these 'concerns' or 'current understandings' will be dealt with !
Thanks Guys, look forward to putting faces to names... in Diary !
Hockley ?
Speedie, Viking, Ace... You 3 got room for a little one to join you on the 4th ?
Was good catching up with some previous acquaintences and speaking to a few new ones, even had a chat with Donald and short chat to Shaun at the end.
Have growing confidence in Shaun dealing with the hurdles to come and future plans/strategies (as best as can be seen by me anyway).
What I took away from last night is that there is a lot info that Shaun cannot disclose but covers off downsides and significantly improves the upsides.
Was my first Town Hall, but well worth it and look forward to attending in the future as well.
Hi Viking, I'd be up for it if available at the time... I'm over on GGPCHAT as lost faith with this fabulous site lol
Have a good weekend fella !
Hi Tom, worked opposite Tubby's stall for quite a few years... not my personal favourite, but used to visit it since a kid and then when I worked there it was so convenient.
Do like a bit of P&M with Eels and liquor as well... not everyones cup of tea, but hey !
Don't go down there enough nowadays to remember the correct spelling (my bad) and know theres 2 families a few yards apart.... C'mon you shrimpers, unless you pull your socks up you'll be over and out very soon !
Keep well fella !
