Can you imagine the value in buying us outright and getting the whole lot in Ecuador. They would get us for much less than potential value of the other tier 1’s yet to be proved up, securing their future and position in the industry for decades to come.
Let’s say two majors together put an offer of 2 billion, how many share holders would bite their hands off.

NM knows this and IMO the recent news about funding is a message to the majors that he can take this all the way if they don’t buy us soon.

I agree with you Iceberg, just a matter of time IMO and I don't think we will be waiting too long from here before the bids come in.
If NM said there is sensitive info re why they haven't bought more themselves then surely this needs to be released to the market ASAP?
Makes sense that BHP buy it, possibly with NCM as a minority owner, but there are many others as you mention.

For me its about the majors staying ahead of their competitors, and allowing us to be an emerging major doesn't fit into this or add up for them.

That’s just not true as fair market value is far in excess of current SP and therefore bids wouldn’t reflect this

If we can get CGP situation wrapped up then the door is open for bids IMO, and they will come

Our time is coming and although I don’t know who will bid first I am fairly confident we will sell at least Alpala before the year end, leaving us to go on and repeat on the next project

In addition, we haven't heard much about Blanca, could be our trump card re boot trapping if the grades and volume are as expected.
Mines are bought all the time, bids could come at any stage, although once we get funding for development I'm not sure how that would work once terms have been agreed re the loan for any major making a bid? How does the loan pay out if we get bought after the funding is agreed?
If no bids come before funding is achieved then I would say our chances of going to production then increase significantly.

just because NM wants to take it to production does not mean the majors will allow this to happen.

it doesn't really matter what defensive measures we put in place, bids can come at any time thereby freeing BHP to counter bid.
Unless they are happy with a minority stake in the mine, which they may be knowing Solg will repeat the model on other projects through out the county, there by BHP and NCM may be content knowing they are part of it.

We are all biased depending on what we would prefer individually, the fact is none of us can call it at this stage.
