Ferro-Alloy Resources Limited (LSE:FAR), the vanadium mining and processing company with operations based in Southern Kazakhstan, announces that the Company has developed technology for the production of electrolyte for vanadium flow batteries ("VFBs").

Ferro-Alloy has developed the technology and applied for a patent for the production of vanadium electrolyte directly from ammonium metavanadate ("AMV"). Vanadium electrolyte is used in the operation of VFBs.

The ability to make electrolyte directly from AMV cuts out the cost of conversion of AMV to vanadium pentoxide from which electrolyte is usually made, giving the Company not only the required know-how to enter this market, but also a cost advantage over traditional processes.

Vanadium is considered to be a battery metal as a result of its use in VFBs which are used for the storage of energy from intermittent green sources such as solar or wind.

VFBs have several advantages over the more familiar lithium-ion battery technologies, including:

· they can be fully charged and discharged repeatedly without damage

· the electrolyte does not degrade over time

· energy storage capacity can be scaled independently of power by adding larger electrolyte tanks

· they are not susceptible to thermal runaway

· the electrolyte can be easily reused or recycled at the end of the battery life; and

· suitable for long discharge periods

thank you for your reply. I will I wanted to buy but really don't know how much EGHOS debt is still to repay. does anyone know this debt value?

is this RNS any good, seems to be confusing, Rns saying still have EGHOS debt to pay, then how is it possible to terminate the contract?

this could get a heavy discounted placing here. look at #TRX, they had 75% discounted placing, and I wouldn't be surprise if the placing is heavily discounted from current position.

how can you terminate a debt contract without paying the debtor?
that RNS is either misleading or I'm missing something here. First of all rns should have said further borrowing is stopped, however debt is ongoing, we won't take any money from EGHOS, but debt remains to be paid.

There's no doubt the elephant in the room is the spend to gear up to the full production (c$100M, I believe). However, there are numerous ways this may be addressed (apart from a raise) - including:

- Outright sale - to the state or a player like EVRA (let them do it!)
- State funding - in exchange for a share of future revenues (see what they have built recently - $100M is chump change to them)
- Some form of buy-in / JV with another player (attractive to an established player and a ready-made project to go at)
- Any form of amalgamation of the above options.

This has got huge potential for the future. I'm really quite excited!
