CMR Stock Surges After Unearthing High-Grade Copper and Silver in Morocco

In an unprecedented development, Critical Mineral Resources (CMR), formerly known as Caerus Mineral Resources, a London-listed mining company, has announced the discovery of unusually high levels of copper and silver at the Anzar project in central Morocco. This revelation has not only accentuated the geological potential of the project but also propelled CMR’s stock to surge by over 40% on the London Stock Exchange.
Exceptional Find at Anzar Project
As per the recent reports, the sampling program at the Anzar project in Morocco has yielded ‘exceptionally high’ levels of copper and silver. The silver content, in particular, was discovered to be well above the average, with values reaching up to 160 g/t in groove samples. Additionally, a manually collected sample signified an astounding 40.12% copper and 272 g/t silver content.
According to the company’s CEO, Charlie Long, the results significantly surpassed expectations. While the high-grade copper was visible in the outcropping sandstones and good grades were expected, samples 4, 5, 6, and 10 exceeded expectations considerably. These findings underline the significant geological potential of the Anzar project, suggesting a potential for accelerated development.

Extending the Scope of the Project
In addition to sampling, CMR conducted extensive fieldwork to better understand the scope of the project. The exploration team identified at least four new outcrop sites and discovered three sedimentary layers of mineralization. These discoveries potentially increase the deposit size and will guide future trenching and drilling work.
Charlie Long stated, “The Anzar project has the potential to be a game-changer in the mining industry. The discovery of these mineral deposits suggests significant geological potential. Our team is working diligently to better understand the project’s scope and to expedite its development.”
