Looks like Valkor are going to front things until the project progresses, and TomCo can bring their cash back in later once the correct licensing is in place.

That seems a fair arrangement considering it appears Valkor may have made the duff-up.

Glad it is continuing, and hope to see it developing very soon.

Here's some info on the Petroteq tech they are using.

It's a pretty revolutionary process technology that allows extraction of the sands via solvent rather than using thermal extraction. Needless to say, this is a big deal.

The only issue is that the oil that comes out is super high density; there's where MSAR can come in. Both for powering the process itself and the facilities, but for use as a bunkering fuel, industrial fuel, etcetera.

You seem to have misread the article.

DOMESTIC tourism has reopened.

And there are going to be plans released to reopen international tourism and travel.

They are also going onto the customer's site, which is a large industrial producer of phosphates. It's not an oil refinery.

MK saying they expect to be able to be working physically on the stage 2 of the Morocco trial *during remainder of this year* (2020) if they can get on-site soon.

As I am sure you all recall, stage 2 of Morocco has been brought forwards and is the commercial-scale MSAR trial on the client's large industrial unit.

That's definitely sooner than I was anticipating, so quite happy to hear that.

grumpy5 -- Quadrise have 2 full-size MMUs (1000 tonnes per day MSAR).

It's based upon proprietary customisations (software and some physical customisations) to basically commodity bitumen emulsion plants (e.g. polymer modified bitumen, PMB).

That means we can get additional units manufactured rapidly and with ease (and at moderate cost!).

Further, one of our supply-side partners (Bitumina Group) owns Denimotech, one of the leading manufacturers of PMB plants. Indeed, they manufactured one of our existing MMUs before they were owned by Bitumina.

So, I think supply of additional MMUs should be no problem (covid related issues aside).

The mention of foreign travellers was a bit of a footnote for now, but hopefully we can minimally see what the plans for international travel are.

In many ways, knowing what the plan is will help us immensely. If it's many months, then we know we need to use local engineering teams, if it's just a couple of months, then we can wait.

Vauch, yes, it's able to turn residues that are solid into a liquid fuel that can flow at room temperatures. As you say, there are no issues with pumping or heated storage/transportation. Normally this is achieved in conventional HFO by "cutting" it with expensive lighter oils. Instead you can use the cheaper resid directly.

It also is environmentally superior to heavy oil, as it has complete carbon burnout and reduced thermal NOx. This is because the fuel is pre-atomised into tiny micro-droplets in the single nanometre size, which provides a lot of surface area for combustion to happen efficiently (i.e. no carbon left); NOx is reduced because combustion temperatures and hot-spots are reduced, whilst still having excellent compression ratios, etc. Commonly overall efficiency is also improved by emulsion fuels.

MSAR can be used directly in pretty much any existing HFO application with minimal (or no) modifications. Think industrial boilers; power stations; heavy transportation like container shipping, bulk shipping, etc; internal refinery heat & power; large diesel engines; etc.

So, I reckon it's a great match for this application. Hope we can see some more development soon.

I'm a Quadrise shareholder. I see no reason that QFI would not be very happy to work with TomCo and Valkor; indeed it seems an excellent match for all parties.

I suspect that there has just been a touch of miscommunication, and someone has jumped the gun before the licensing agreement has been finalised.

I hope that can be cleared up ASAP and pen put to paper to ensure the necessary licenses are granted.

Quadrise's MSAR synthetic fuel oil tech works very well with almost any residue (even insanely viscous stuff), but AIUI, the Unita residue is sweet (low-sulphur), which is ideal for a wider array of industrial applications as you do not require sulphur scrubbers. It can also be used in marine vessels that are unscrubbed. As some of you may already know, MSAR has considerably superior environmental characteristics, in that it has full carbon burnout and lower NOx emissions than standard fuels, in addition to being much cheaper, as it does not require 'cutting' with light & expensive fuel fractions to reduce its viscosity (it flows at room temperature).

Others have linked the QFI website and official materials, which should be your first port of call. But, if you are interested, a few shareholders had the chance to visit the Quadrise Research Facility where they do RDI/development. So, this seems a fantastic development for all parties, and I hope they can get this rolling as soon as possible!

Reduction in TomCo share price was simply as the market price matched the raise price (well, small premium currently) -- the usual phenomenon.

Another cool about this opportunity is that it's diversifying things considerably:
- It occupies a different geographic area to other projects, so reduces risk from covid-related lockdowns, etc. Also opens us NA for us again.
- It is a different feedstock type and characteristics (low sulphur, solvent-extracted from sands).
- They are different partners (Valkor/TomCo, etc), so reduces counter-party risk considerably.
- They are an additional high-quality supply-side option, which reduces risk to customers wanting to adopt MSAR and concerned about supply diversity and risk management.
- Additional local consumers (industry, heavy machinery, etc)

This looks really good, and hope QFI can put pen to paper very soon. Valkor seem very capable, so the idea of them having some licensing exclusivity in Utah doesn't seem a bad idea to me.

Looks like Tomco jumped the gun on the announcement, but the substance is there.

South American country is Ecuador. Refinery + nearby utility/power. Looking at using local resources/hands for as much of the work needed as possible if client decides to proceed.

Engaged shipping companies are top-3 in respective sectors (container, bulker).

Morocco will continue as soon as able to get onto site, still continuing to do work on (and bring forwards) phase 2 of the trial process.
