Well really good from this share price and again if the wells clearing up produce significantly better than to date - but pretty risky is it not now - great upside but only "invest" what you can afford to lose!

stublu - as per my earlier message whereby all my "industry mates" laughed at me - as well as IOG of course - and I arrogantly thought they were wrong - well that's me buying a few rounds for a little while - to avoid further embarrassment!! I personally think there is still "some" value from here but that is hoping they are working out on their other producing assets - which they were kind of silent on today - is that another "flag" or just good news hopefully to come - certainly the drilling of Blythe makes great sense - as long as they've got their G&G correct on that - ahem I'll get me coat!

Mole mate I have not got a clue and the last thing they want now is complaint to the FCA regarding potentially misleading information already being in market and they didn't update at that time - surely they have known about this cluster f*** for a long time now- before the 8th / 11th January anyway?
Re RRE - something certainly could have been done - this arrogant "management" team (as lets face it the operations man is the only "newie") didn't even talk to them - but hey they've created loads of value since then, lol!!

I think the issue for them is two fold.
1. The G&G clusterf**** which is simply o&g risk but
2. The flares satellite information available from 8th or 9th which considering what company knew at that time should IMHO have required a correction RNS?
3. I don't know but boy they are going to need some really low LTIPS now to hopefully incentivise the dream team to stay on?
4. Perhaps they could wheel out AH again to tell us how amazing the team is and what they have achieved in such a small time frame again?

Appalling, IMHO.

I haven't a clue mate, there are a plethora of reasons and I'm assuming "hopefully" most centre around weather but there could be others which are temporaey in nature and worked around as well. I suggest googling as there is lots of data available on Inter Web and I certainly wouldn't want to speculate here. As I say I personally think this will come good and simply hope that IOG are not reverting back to previous "form". Deniscaf just for you, all IMEHO, dyor. E for extra.

Hey MNN, thanks so much for your kind words and advice buddy. I've been investing trading now for over 30 years. May I ask how many you have and what kind of returns you've achieved as you seem so much more experienced than me? Ps still no fing news. Let's hope when it finally arrives it will be a barn stirmer as I feel quite a few on here have been perennially "averaging" down?!

stublu - re industry purchasers not an issue for me - perhaps it is O&G snobbery but as I say none of my mates - to my knowledge have bought in IOG however to be very clear my POV at 10p - which is my current investment level - is it is a very good proposition, especially with CEO/COO change.
In response to other posters on here I still reserve the right to criticise IMHO about various aspects of companies I hold - even if in profit or loss in that share.
So it depends on the investment point as well for any buyer, as to whether there is good "value". If Southwark comes in as prognosed - we could even see early thirties relatively quickly again and if other assets plus Blythe 2 come in - "possibly" early fifties? All IMHO and DYOR.
I saw a reference to the 94 BCF being not bad for an AIM company - not being clever but what does the ************** it is traded on - have to do with the assets? Isn't SQZ/TXP an AIM company? Off out for evening now so don't take non reply as rudeness or implicit agreement!

W69 - mole - (TRD125?) - I'm just back in now and got to push out in half an hour but I'll post same reply over on LSE - do you understand that Buffet isn't an investor in IOG but some (most) of the assets only and that is a totally very different proposition from purchasing equity in IOG? They will be also be on a very different level of information provision as to us share-holders and whilst a good deal for them - I seriously wonder at how happy they are with regard to project development and controls. You do realise this is a very small investment for them compared to their US O&G assets and they did elect not to take part in a couple of the IOG wells (from memory) which meant they did not pay toward them and were not positive return for share-holders as well? Apologies if I'm incorrect regarding number of wells they didn't take part with IOG - and happy to be corrected on that. All imho and dyor of course.
My purchase price on this current investment in IOG was 10p by the way.

In brief answer to your questions - I don't bloody know - this investment is a nothing part of my portfolio!
I get upset (impatient and frustrated, lol?!) because the initial guidance was during Dec, then end of Dec then mid Jan - this is the third amendment so just get it right - as the continual changes just smack of amateur hour (considering the pfmce to date)! It is all to easy to cry - oh but its the O&G industry so things are never straight forward - which is fine - but when it's coming from such a padded timeline in first place - it gets your goat!!
Anyways off out for the day now so best of luck all! By the way I like to think I have a few contacts in the industry (referring to references to "industry experience regarding delays etc") and not one has bought shares in IOG - laughing at me for doing so - me being arrogant ignore these facts - just like I did when got similar feed-back and bought AEX years ago, lol (which may actually do well this year)! Take from that what you will.
As ever all IMHO, DYOR and truly best of luck here - I am sure Southwark will come in well - as it appears to still being (finally?) tested and it "looks" good (?!)

DS it doesn't imply a confirmed date but for the umpteenth time and for W69 as well.
1. If it isn't as expected - update us why - pretty simple really - I don't really attribute too much to what Newall says - it isn't legally relied upon - an RNS is.
2. If previous RNS guidance does not still stand - update us - simple.
3. I am fed up with hearing about the difficulties regarding bringing gas assets on-stream (during the winter) - as a retired professional who I hasten to add is contacted multiple times a year for work or advice / guidances etc - here is mine -
a. Get your projects under control so you don't need to work in the winters
b. Pad the timelines massively for such RNS guidances
c. If you have and you still can't achieve these padded timelines then look at why this is and sort it out!
d. go back to a.
e. If IOG management see this or someone sends onto them - no charge for this guidance

Where does the rns state around mid January? It states simply "mid January" which was yesterday.
Taking that in the context it alway seems that IOG timelines include double padding I see it as a let down by Newall if we don't hear anything tomorrow.
