Are you suggesting the dividend may be more than 1.8p depending on the exchange rate?
That's NOT what the RNS specifies. It states they intend to pay 1.8p; no mention of $ exchange rates.
If the exchange rate is unfavourable then I would expect them to revise down the divi. If it is favourable, and knowing AMC, I don't believe they'll pay any more. I reckon they'll simply keep the extra cash in the shell company pending any merger/acquisition.
Have I kissed something somewhere about the possibility of it being more than 1.8p?
This is all assuming that deal doesn't flounder over the next few days!

Correction, I have listened again. The interviewer doesn't mention a P/E of 8 (I think I heard that figure somewhere else), but what he did say (28'00") was a p/e ratio of "at least 10"

I think Tellysong was going by the comments of the Sunday Roast presenter who suggested that a P/E of 10 may be achievable. He further suggested a value of 8 may be even more readily achieved.
Tellysong has moderated that target even lower, keeping things in perspective.
All said and done, I think the overall concensus is that the future is definitely bright for JLP

How long do we reckon it will take to the authorise purchase of Kun Manie and the monies leaving Russia.
We know that previously, other deals have been "moderated", and so my understanding is that the 1.8p dividend is not guaranteed until the Russian state approve the purchase.

Working

Went to the local park today. Council have put up loads of signs, "Please don't feed the animals!" The only animals that were about were lots of squirrels that have clearly come out of hibernation over the past few weeks. They're grey squirrels, an invasive species if you're not aware. They're aggressive towards the native species and continually try to muscle them out of the area for their own benefit, so I guess the aim is not to encourage them or help them by feeding them, even when they're scampering about trying to attract attention. Just saying...

For the past three years interim results have been released on the last Thursday of March (28/3/19, 26/3/20, 25/3/21). If Leon remains true to that schedule then the RNS should appear on Thursday 31st March 2022, but you never know, it could be this Thursday 24th. Either way news is coming, so sitting tight here with a high degree of confidence....
