I don’t think jiangxi will get another “sweetener “ like the 16p placing…. That was a carrot to give them a foothold whilst providing us with much needed funding and reducing BHP’s:NCM’s influence at the same time.
The fact remains the Chinese are not in this for 6% so will BHP et Al sell to them without a fight ?

DG …. The impression I get is that they know every move has to be carefully planned and well executed from here on in, step by step.
The merger delay could be anything from simple red tape to wanting to place the CGP shares prior.
Once it’s complete things could happen fairly quickly but I’d rather they sacrifice a little haste to ensure the right conclusion.
We may well actually get some planned drilling but this will only be to keep the wheels turning and potentially add value whilst the inevitable takeover plays out IMO

Until October 22 we were getting an updated company presentation almost once a month then it all stopped. I have been assured there will be a new presentation following hot on the heels of the merger completion…… but when will that be?
Hopefully not much longer now

It’s a guessing game how low it can go here, without news the price drifts ….. people get nervous….. some sell ….. almost a self fulfilling prophecy.

Appreciate the point
Just noticed recently that several times there have been a series of buys (O trades mostly) and almost immediately there is a flurry of A trades which temper any rise. Probably just reading too much into it because there is no genuine news to get our teeth into ….. still it can’t go on forever …. Can it ?

Interestingly all buys are O trades today and the majority of sells are A trades ….. feels like there’s a stranglehold on this share at the moment and without news it isn’t going anywhere

A small part of me wonders if they’re trying to place the CGP shares before the merger is rubber stamped.

Is this not tant amount to admitting that the results of any strategic review is already known and a forgone conclusion, therefore a waste of time .
They would never have combined forces without pre agreeing the way forward (ie to sell up and move on)

We’re up for sale …. And if we lose every penny we’ve invested we are still way better off than those in Turkey or Syria….
