“Australia's SolGold has until December to complete the negotiation process of the exploitation contract for its US$2.75bn Cascabel copper project in Ecuador.

In a management discussion and analysis report, the company said the negotiations, which began in January, include a non-binding agreement, term sheet, and the request to move to the exploitation phase.

In December, the company requested a modification to the previously signed investment protection agreement to better align it with the exploitation contract under negotiation, and to obtain additional benefits provided by the government that were not available when the agreement was signed in 2021.

The energy and mines ministry is holding bimonthly meetings with SolGold to review the approvals required for project's progress and address other actions required by the government, the company said.

In a recent interview with BNamericas, energy and mines minister Fernando Santos said that Cascabel, along with the US$250mn Curipamba copper-gold project, would both see construction start in 2024.“

Red I’ll try ….. Solgold is on SETS (Solgold’s chosen trading platform)whereas the other two are on SEAQ ( a platform for less liquid stocks) where there’s no DMA for automatic trades
If you look at the trades he will see they’re all off book
SEAQ doesn’t have DMA it’s market makers only so you don’t get A trades or “algos”

Red just ignore it , hopefully in a few weeks or months none of us will need to visit this bb anymore as it’ll be redundant.
Wonder if they’ll surprise us and get the completion notice out ahead of time ….. on time would surprise most of us ….. I’d it the final hurdle to a bid or is h to hear something more to come?

In fact although I’ve added a reasonable amount recently my biggest frustration is I didn’t get more in the twelves because ii took forever to get funds from another provider.
As for worrying once you press the button there’s no point ….. massive upside soon to be realised here.

According to the slug, a 443k bid at 13.50p appeared on L2 and was immediately removed. Look for a late print disguised as a sell later when the price is higher

I think Sangha will have moved fast looking to get this sold ( question remains whether Cascabel or the lot) ….. He’ll have seen us going backwards for years and (as we all know) realised there was no way the existing company were capable of taking h to his to production.
I’ve always assumed the merger is the main ( and maybe last) obstacle to clear but could it be the extraction license? Get this alongside the recent trade deal with the Chinese and we could be off to the races.
Whatever it is I think big news will break very soon.
