I can’t answer that but I’m fairly confident on both counts….. I do recall the company saying something along the lines of the delay in the PFS being to ensure great returns for investors as opposed to just very good ones

PFS certainly seems to be front and centre ….. share price looking way more solid last few weeks but a long way to go ….. these things don’t always go up in a straight line but we’ll get there

Agree with much of your speculation. For once we know where we stand with regards to timing….. 96 days remaining until the end of Q2 and highly likely to be much sooner.
If BHP do decide to wait until PFS and see how the market reacts then move, one must assume we have some potential bid defences in place.
With no drilling results for months and an mre2 due on Porvenir at any time these are two possibilities.
Also (and maybe most vitally) from a value point of view I still expect a third party (or two) to emerge from the shadows before too long .
Finally the best possible defence from a low ball offer would be for the PFS to be as robust and impressive as possible….. this is indeed what I expect, and will hopefully make the mining industry do more than just sit up and take notice.
I guess we’ll find out soon enough
