The SA02 appraisal well is targeting the upper Captain sandstone sequence. The source is provided by the underlying Kimmeridge Clay formation as seen in the offset Captain field. #EOG

Within the Serenity regional area, the Kimmeridge Clay is mature downdip of the ongoing appraisal well with simple updip migration which is evidenced by the Blake, Tain and Serenity discoveries.

Oil discovered in Serenity, Tain and Blake is high quality with saturated light oil of around 32 API. Similar quality oil is expected in the Serenity appraisal well.
