Getech and H2 Green are encouraged by the latest on the UK government’s green hydrogen strategy with yesterday’s £25 million funding announcement to accelerate deployment of #hydrogen.

With our #greenhydrogen development projects at Shoreham Port and in #Inverness, followed by our pipeline of opportunities, #GTC aims to be a major part of the UK Government goal of achieving 10GW of low carbon hydrogen production capacity by 2030.

CC - -ve seen plenty of people waste their spare money, in fact pretty much everyone i have seen has done that

I worked for over 15 years in the city and tbh we should not look too much at leahy here, it may well be just his idle cash. ive seen people get bonuses of over 20mill just for 1 year. a lot of people in the city have idle spare change.

The £2.5 million grant awarded to Velocys under this e-fuels allocation will be used in conjunction with the E-Fuels Project's partners to conduct feasibility, technical validation, site selection and pre-FEED engineering for such a project, to make SAF from carbon dioxide and hydrogen, in the UK. The E-Fuels Project, to be known as "e-Alto", will be managed by Velocys, partners include Clariant Catalysts ("Clariant"), Technip Energies ("T.EN") and British Airways.



The key objective of the Advanced Fuels Fund is to kick-start the UK advanced fuels sector with the commercial deployment of innovative fuel production technologies that are capable of significantly reducing UK aviation carbon dioxide emissions.



Henrik Wareborn, CEO, said:



"We are very pleased to have been awarded this grant as it reflects the capability of the Velocys technology use of different feedstocks, ability to attract world class partners, and access to a new project portfolio. Our IP-protected technology enables the production of synthetic liquid fuels such as SAF for the airline industry, from renewable power and CO2, as well as from sustainable waste and biomass. This award also shows strong commitment from the UK Government to accelerate the Department for Transport's Jet Zero strategy for achieving net zero aviation by 2050."

the funders could announce pretty quickly tbh now the govt shown its hand, probably we get news again well before the expected dates

lots of business sites with the story now. As long as the private backers do not dilute, shareholders might be well rewarded from here. I can not see why the private funders would dilute when the government is fully behind this and i doubt Wareborn will let them dilute, hell say you match what the govt has done. with net zero the agenda SAF is a key element. This plant is most likely going to get built...oooohh hang on but what will labour do lol
