Chestnut properties will start re-opening on July 4, with a phased reopening across the group’s portfolio. The Crown Inn, Stoke by Nayland, Norfolk and Suffolk coastal properties; The Globe Inn, Wells-next-the-Sea, and The Ship Inn at Dunwich plus The Weeping Willow in Barrow – will open first.
These will then be followed on July 11 by The Packhorse Inn, a rebuilt The Three Blackbirds and The Eight Bells in Saffron Walden.
The Westleton Crown will re-open on July 17, followed by The Northgate and The Rupert Brooke on July 18. The Black Lion in Long Melford, which will re-open on July 25.
Philip Turner, founder of Chestnut says; ‘Our re-opening has been a long time coming and we have been working very hard behind the scenes to make sure we are ready for our guests. We want everyone to feel excited about the prospect of coming to visit us again and reassured that we will be doing everything to ensure their families are safe and well looked after.”
Chestnut has upgraded The Ship Inn, Dunwich and given The Westleton Crown a complete refurbishment with 34 newly-styled rooms and new-look dining areas and bar.
