With respect to studies involving Covid-19, Evotec remains on track with the in vitro testing of Nuvec® loaded with the Covid-19 plasmid and, in conjunction with the Company, continues to look at ways in which it can accelerate the commencement of Stage 3 of the Covid-19 work (as set out in the Company's announcement on 16 April 2020) and perform the in vivo protein expression testing in parallel with the in vitro studies. Assays to detect the spike protein antigen arising from the plasmid transfection and the antibodies produced in vivo have been established by Evotec.

Rolls-Royce Power Systems has acquired Kinolt, a Belgian designer of UPS systems.
The company says this new buyout will expand its UPS portfolio, with Kinolt becoming part to Rolls-Royce's Power Systems business unit and its MTU product and solutions brand.
Kinolt is based out of the town of Grâce-Hollogne, Belgium, and was known as Euro-Diesel until mid-2019. The acquisition was completed on July 1 following the approval of antitrust authorities.This latest news from Rolls Royce follows its partnership with Daimler Truck AG to co-develop data center fuel cells, back in May. “The extraordinary times created by the Covid-19 pandemic have shown just how important it is to secure electricity supply to sensitive and critical infrastructure," Andreas Schell, CEO of Rolls-Royce Power Systems, said. “The provision of uninterruptible power is vital in any situation and even more so today, as it ensures the provision of vital services such as medical care or the world’s continued flow of Internet traffic. Without it, no public authority or company would be able to act in any crisis. We originally signed the deal to acquire Kinolt before the full global impact of Covid-19 was apparent. MTU engines from Rolls-Royce are often already used within Kinolt’s solutions. The Kinolt system is connected between the external power supply system and safety-critical equipment and supplies the latter with power.

"We will integrate the products and systems of our new subsidiary into our MTU product portfolio,” Andreas Görtz, VP of Power Generation at Rolls-Royce, said.
“Our worldwide sales and service network will open up new market opportunities by offering innovative uninterruptible power solutions. This will significantly strengthen our market position in safety-critical applications."

Two different planes, powered by electric propulsion systems developed by Rolls-Royce, have restarted their test flights in the last ten days. Bye Aerospace eFlyer 2 prototype and technology demonstrator CityAirbus makes short flights to showcase this technology.

The Bye Aerospace 2-seat eFlyer 2 is planned to be the first FAA certified, practical, fully electric aircraft to serve the flight training and general aviation markets. The aircraft was designed and still being developed by Bye Aerospace located in Colorado, USA. Rolls-Royce undertakes the procurement of the Electric Drive Unit (EPU), which consists of a 70kW electric motor, related power electronics inverter and related motor controller. Developed by the Rolls-Royce Electrical Systems team in Budapest, Hungary, this system started test flights in early 2019.Mike Mekhiche, Rolls-Royce Electrical Systems Program Director, said: “We are delighted to see that the eFlyer 2 and CityAirbus demonstrators, powered by our propulsion systems, have restarted their flights. These tests are of great importance for both our aircraft bodybuilder customers and for us. The tests are also an important step in the certification and commercial launch journey. ”

Rolls-Royce plans to launch the first certified electric drive for the small propeller aircraft market by 2023. Fossil fuel is not used on eFlyer 2, and as a result, pilot training flights become emission-free and cost-competitive. Thanks to its low operating costs, the aircraft can meet the training needs of future pilots competitively and is taking firm steps towards turning into an important element in order to make the aviation industry more sustainable in the future.

Rolls Royce did 400% gain over Gulf war. Of course rolls royce will be involved with military craft and engines. UK and USA will go to war with Saudi against someone in the middle east. Itll be the next thing after covid. War is good for the economy and oil prices. Just my opinion but I'll be astonished if trump doesnt start a war. He has not done yet though
