i'm reading about long delays with broker transfers. plus not being able to trade during the transfer.

I want to open a new broker account. I think its quicker to get into some cash and then move it into a new broker account. asking brokers to transfer shares don't know how long it will take. plus i have 1 share holding in an unlisted company. I think i'm going to have to sell that as likely expensive to transfer as its not in crest. so i may have 2 broker accounts and higher annual fees for awhile.
