Freddie to be honest I was trading in and out of it as xstrata round about 2008 with a fair bit of success and then got stuck in when glencore came calling glad I stuck with it as for the comments about its business activities at the time the only way to get headway in Africa was to grease palms not that I condone it but it was reality at the time.

Hi Ben I invested 10k in Glencore more than 10 years ago its paid terrific divs over the years but my stake in ggp dwarfs it ,I wish I had concentrated on Glencore when it dropped to 75p back in 2020 instead of keeping on investing here multiple times even telling my nephew to put money in Glencore at £1.37. Needless to say he didn't and put the money on iag. That went well lol the idea would have been to sink it into ggp now at a great price. If's but's and maybes story of my life.

The learner I'm one of the unlucky people ggp was at 13.3p and I had 5k available I thought what the hell go for it , the following days the 8.2 fundraising was announced needless to say it dropped like a stone. My brother in law said put money in boil but once again trying to lower my average with 1.6k I bought more ggp boil shot up 200% subsequently dropping back it would have been a short term buy for me and I would have cashed in at .03 . Sums up my luck. Atb.

I don't like disagreeing with you Red but there is a massive market out there probably with plenty of opportunities not that I'm in any position to take them. Most of my capital is in here at the wrong price and looks like I will need to hold firm medium to long term to see a decent profit. Atb.
