NAV £1.50/£2.25 Buy and forget, soon in Ft250, big funds will be picking up, PMO has some aces in the sleeve
I see some 'poor' guy sold 2700000 at 153 0945 am I bet he's a bit sore. Over here in Greece the government are putting a 150€ a month cap on each phone bill then the customer has to agree more, basically Voda are no1 & I never seen a thing like it, every small town or large village has a store & it's full of people paying wads of cash, of course only UK really has quality TV, so people are using phones for all entertainment also all Europe is catching up on online compared to UK, bills, bookings etc all done by smartphone they've skipped the amstrad64k and even the old people are well on it. Its different cultures, i consider Voda a hold to 240p then maybe a sale but longterm growth, safety & non political investments will be hard to find
You sound like mystic megs sister, skeptic peg 😂 I wish I had your crystal ball
64 for a couple of hours on Fri pm 😂 I know a friend in llyods who saw 12p for a v short time on his screen, he'll never forgot he didn't buy, Interserve, carillon people made or lost wads, I was in both, each for less than 24h on the right side thankfully, prefer Voda at 144 a month back!
Patience, last time I was in I paid 56,71 78p they went down to 40p sometimes and about a year later I sold for 100p making 21k or 40%, now in again at 78p, it's v difficult to catch the bottom best to buy in stages, I missed it last Fri at 64p as was v busy or I would've. I managed to catch Vodafone on the v bottom last month 144 & twice AZN last Yr when they fell £10 & shit back up selling out immediately both times, these are golden moments but patience is the key, I held one stock 6yrs ingenta (50k) they did nothing 30p /100p then one day they shot up say after day over 5days to 610p I sold at 480p lucky I saw as I was sailing in Greece, now 100p again, patience, watch and wait, the trick is knowing when to sell & you'll only see that on hindsight
No worries, you buy acorns and watch them grow, in pmo too last week. Last time I held 18months at 56,71,78 & sold at 100 for a 40% conversely if I'd held a month longer we would've seen 130 but we have to take a profit, in vod 200k all in isa for tax free divs at 144 & 178, wouldn't sell them for 240 as I see what they're doing around the world as I travel. Pmo is a good trader, just be patient.
Well said, I live in Greece, paradise if you are a farmer or fisherman living in utopia, for the rest is a very poor system.
Last time went xdiv price was 195 apx back in June, the fundamentals are good & Vodafone is the winner in many countries I travel, I think £2 is likely in the next few months with peaks over 220. Market is always cyclical & manipulation is the big game. I also like fres and pmo atm as a value investor. Unlike many stocks vod is not a politic football. Home pcs are becoming relic & all people regardless of age need connection to perform elementary life skills. Great isa income too, I hold 112000 tax free after rotating out of RRS & HSBC, Watch the cycle
Thanks
Thanks
Just realised I bought in 22300 shares here 2 months ago for 32p and forgot 😂 for a v longterm investment, very happy to see the chairman making such a massive investment, wake me up at £1
Any idea what day is the update? Bought in last week 1.44 after selling Rangold 35% in a month, also Petra diamonds on the rise after Chairman bought 3.8 mil shares
Just picked up 25000, sold out last time 2.11. We shall see, happy to hold for next 10years,ISA cash from Rangold a few days ago. I really think Voda is being manipulated as I notice alot large buys but lots of small sales from nervous investors. I always try to wait for 30% dips last was glaxo, azn and hsbc which all rocketed, let's see what happens here!
Last time Rangold was £64 Fresnillio was £1350, I've just sold my RRS after getting in at 4612, but holding Fres as good value after a 791 entry, any thoughts on why such a lag between the 2? Last time I sold at 1730 & 7480 respectively
A continuing set of robust results, very good.
Last time I was in at 1300 and out at 1730, I couldn't believe I got an entry at 790, shows how much manipulation there is, also nice to see Blackrock picked up 10mil shares now holding 5.1% with jpm holding 55% of all vaulted silver hold for 22 an ounce min
I notice massive buys today well above market price throughout the day around 2.5p over, 12,15 & 22million shares, any thoughts out there? I've been a big investor of dogs over many years & noticed such things before a big rise, lastly was glaxo and before was hsbc, STRONG BUY
Bought in at 46.12 a month ago, sad to sell but £17.00 in a month is serious rise, last time came in at £61 & out at £75, keeping fresnillio and hochschild. Really hope I can get back in but doubt it v much. GLA
Watch and wait, all points in favour, weakening brexit pound, larger Co less risk/synergies, Trump bumps & much exploration in both pipes in around 9 countries, plus the Gold short expected to reverse & a good portfolio should have a gold element & both companies sp are way down especially Barrick - As Numis & others say = Buy, target £75 as deal completes
Am sure the Elliot group have a great deal of inside information and having been on the opposite side in legals, I would think they've spent millions on research Inc inside Vodafone before they made their £2 billion apx investment. With brokers recs all around the 2.50/2.60 for fair value. I've made a medium punt of 93500 shares. I also see sector rotation happening on different scales with robust telecoms offering a good place as mining, tech and big pharma are towards the high end of values atm. Travelling mostly overseas I see vodafone operations firsthand and am extremely impressed, I have been waiting for this entry point for quite some time, with HSBC I waited over years but caught them at 449 to 675 with a v large 300k punt, I anticipate vod will see 220 at least in next 12 months & could be 240/250, with 7+% div, sit back for the ride as they say
Me to Mike, seems incredible how just a few months back GSK was being slated to 1250 & now pumped right up, a very big increase for a large company. I'm out & will watch with interest.
