For me, the big thing is rates, as mine are still mortgaged.

Plan A - Hopefully GGP will pay part, or all of one off in 2 years (although I will retain a minimum of half the shares regardless)

Plan B - Sell my house, pay off all my mortgages, move to a smaller house, retire, and retain my full GGP holding for the foreseeable…

Assuming you do it through a Ltd Co, can buy cash, and can retro fit older properties to meet EPC C or above…I wouldn’t touch a new build personally, unless I built it myself…
