Ted Baker's final dividend has been temporarily suspended, It paid a 7.8p per share interim dividend, having paid out a total dividend per share for the prior period of 58.6p.
I am in Aston , shares were over £1.50 then the new ones came out and it went as low as 27.5p . The share did the same think when up high then the opposite when they hit the market . They have pulled back a over the last week
Ted Baker said it intended to raise about £95m gross by placing shares with investors and up to £10m more through an open offer of shares. The new shares will be issued at an offer price of 75p a share. After transaction costs proceeds will be about £100m.
The company said it was raising the money to get through the Covid-19 crisis and return to profitable growth under a new strategic plan. Ted Baker plans to stabilise its finances, reduce costs, improve its products and revive its brand.
So if they are raising 95 million at 75p why is the share price going up , also they lost 79.9 million last year !! Then Up to a further approximately £10 million in gross proceeds (up to approximately £9.6 million in net proceeds) may also be raised by way of an Offer - £105 million !! And they also said they are selling the freehold of the head office . At this rate that should last 1.5 years
Ted Baker said it plans to raise GBP95 million as it swung to a loss in its recently-ended financial year.
The upmarket fashion retailer reported a pretax loss of GBP79.9 million for the year to January 25 versus a profit of GBP30.7 million the year before. Revenue fell 1.4% to GBP630.5 million.
Ted Baker intends to raise GBP95 million in a fully underwritten placing and open offer and firm placing.
The Market cap would 45 million , and they are looking to raise 80 million . I think there is no way you would get someone to pay £1.50 a share for 53.4 million shares .£1.00 for 80 million maybe
One thing for sure down on Monday30 May 2020 15:36
