Expert, you really just don’t know with these stocks. They turn in the blink of an eye and the businesses themselves will be looking for great value as much as we are!

Expert, I totally agree, us ‘later investors’ who got in at more than 1p will be looking for good value and we must keep our feet on the ground and think of all possibilities - including potential dilution now Newcrests ‘anti dilution’ rights ended in a June. It is import to look at all angles and not get carried away

Hi Lostagin, I don’t think he will have as much choice in what he wants now this hostile action has taken place BUT at the same time, they all must work together to get the best result for everyone. I think there may be a certain amount of ‘game play’ in that, this could have been what he wanted all along but wanted them to work for it. I for one hope that he is not arrogant and deluded enough to think he can go it alone as this would definitely not work out at all. BHP are a big company who pay people lots of money to negotiate in these circumstances, they have show their hand and I believe will rapidly follow it through. Soon....
