The SAFE agreement was a bridge that was meant to enable Factom to do a couple of (at the time appeared to be fairly simple) tweeks to enable a $100 million+ series B to close.

On closing we would have been laughing.. the rest of Factom is history.

Anyway to try to answer Longlads question. Set up to enable retail investors an opportunity to invest in fledgling companies at seed/series A funding rounds. From the outset LA & JM stressed that not everything they invested in would be a success. The vast majority of series A funded companies never reach series B.

One of their earliest investments in Leap is what you all appear to be obsessed with. Another early investment was Intensity (converted into now NASDAQ listed Portage. Another early investment Juvenescence is awaiting IPO. Another early investment was Yooma (converted into Yooma stock).
Another early investment was Nuuvera sold for $800 million.
Another investment was Emmac which returned £5 million (name me other AIM companies that has returned that amount..there may be a couple I don’t know about but as rare as a hairy egg)

There have been a few disasters along the way. No dispute. No one here or anywhere pointed out the disasters pre-disaster.
I would spend time looking at the current cannabinoid holdings and their potential for scaling up.
Leap & JUV could be tomorrow or next week who knows but everyone knows they are coming.
I’m happy enough to keep picking these up at 7p until they aren’t.

I only answer the question that is asked constantly...why can’t Ed invest in Seed.

To answer why he hasn’t previously that is obvious. He didn’t want to invest.

Now what is his specialism? Cannabinoids. What has he built this calendar year? A cannabis biased cannabis fund.
Why does he now want to invest? Because he is inside with Leap and knows a very near true valuation for them. Also he is fully aware of the potential for all the cannabis investments.

Let’s imagine they want to buy £1 million. How many would you estimate they could buy under historic NAV?
If there is a TR1 from one of the top 2 holders immediately after, how would the market react?
We’ve got £1 million and we’ve also employed one of the leading cannabis experts in Europe to find investments but we decided to do a share buy back. It’s a sign of weakness that they couldn’t find anything worthwhile to invest if they went down this route.
