Steve bt I bought back in at 47.47 20000 shares also made bigger investments in hsbc aviva legal and general barclays all the buys were before 10.30 am then about 11.00 am market started tanking down about 5k in a day and I am finding it hard to see what will change sentiment for financial stocks as there has been a sudden whipsaw in sentiment in the US about bank stocks so unfortunately like a loyal lapdog UK based financials will follow the lead

Falky have read the trades wrong in the financial stocks lately myself unbelievable whipsaw from the highs of yesterday morning

Hollybean I think I will have to get the train down to London from Manchester and meet falky at Hyde Park and help him with all the grass at least it will contribute to helping with reducing co2 emissions not having to use the lawnmowers

No chance for Lloyds to get to pre covid levels of 60p Dow Jones at about 33600 Lloyds is at 47p for Lloyds to get to 60p this year the Dow Jones has to get to 40000 no chance it is going to be a struggle for 35000 again this year

I think Dow futures which were steady at about 20 points up to suddenly go negative at -60 points meaning Dow Jones will be down every day this week think I am down about 3k already with the stocks bought this morning

Did not expect another leg down for the ftse suddenly down over 60 points now

Falky also bought Aviva and legal and general this morning also believe Lloyds will not go below 47p the Dow Jones is due a rise next week so hoping for a better week next week so can do some selling

Bought 20000 shares lloyds 47.47 over a penny cheaper than I sold them yesterday at 47.49

Added 8000 shares hsbc 438 5000 barclays shares 176.22

Not looking good for bank shares tomorrow falky I was going to double up on hsbc another 8000 shares at 440 at close but now will wait for tomorrow but bank shares in the us are under the cosh for fourth straight day

I made about 90 pounds net on the trade so not thousands in profit like falkys trades but still a profit

I don't eat at McDonald's falky because I don't want to bump into you falky added 8000 shares hsbc 442p sold at 446 in the morning bought back just now

Just because the share price is falling from the highs don't start crying falky if you can't stand the heat you can always phone the Samaritans

Adewins not happening for Lloyds this afternoon

It normally happens when I sell so could be a buy signal for traders

Just went out to do some shopping falky came back just now bank shares have now stabilized and now are awaiting direction from the fed meeting today I bought back 20000 shares Lloyds 47.7 and another 5000 Barclays shares 175.75p bank shares are really under the cosh at the moment but have to change sentiment soon
