"the big six buy and store gas when it is cheap ! "

"Our big 6 gas companies do not control the price of worldwide gas and oil either."
I read "control prices" as controlling their own prices to consumers, which they do, up to the cap legally allowed. Wholesale prices for gas have sky rocketed and the cap is means the companies can not raise their prices enough to make a profit. This has meant the smaller companies have gone bust and the major companies are asking for the cap to be lifted or for government subsidies, as they can not afford to keep losing money on electricity and gas supply.

"What makes you think SP will retrace in the coming weeks to close the 44p gap? There are several higher gaps that have been open for years that have not been closed."
All this gap stuff seems like superstition - may as well try phrenology on Charlie Nunn.
"How are they good for local businesses when they have not even left any local "plug in power points""
Not sure this is the wisest of ideas.
"The electrical power from the generator is typical 60 Hz, AC power with 600V output for large wind turbines."
"I think the Greens lose support when they start talking about policies which may not be consistent with every person having the opportunity to make a living/have a job."
Personally it seems like a no brainer to me. We have no choice but to do something about the environment, if we don't want to face a massive catastrophe when we run out of enough fossil fuels to sustain everyone and/or the ecology collapses. We're already seeing price rises across the board for fuel as countries vie to keep the power on.
It's not a zero sum game and new technology has a way of giving us more opportunities to keep that compounding growth going and ensuring capitalism trundles on further.
Just my 2p.
"Their you go Disinform - I could be the arbiter of sanity on your behalf if you would like?"
I fear this is too much power for one man. Judging the sanity of someone else from what they type is like trying to guess what people eat based on how big their shoes are.
"Disinform you are correct. If they are offering you a blatantly unfair deal you have every right to stick up for yourself and try and strike something which gets more for yourself whilst still offering them enough that they won't walk away (assuming you would both be worse off if they walked away)."
Also, no clue what this is about.
