Who will stay after being stabbed in the back by O’Shea and his henchmen?
The ones very close to retirement.
The few that don’t have the confidence to go it alone or look elsewhere.
The few that know they probably couldn’t do better elsewhere
And of course the ones that what to continue the fight , and they will fight .
You have an allowance of £12300 for 2020/2021 if you buy something that you later sell at a profit you are / maybe liable to CGT over and above your annual allowance. As the cut off date for 2020 / 2021 is 23/03/2021 maybe more than average have sold up and taken profits now.
As to whether the business you have shares in is in the U.K. or abroad would make zero difference if you live in the U.K. that’s were your tax liabilities are.
It is 7.5% but it’s payable quarterly in areas not 4 x 7.5%

Results from latest vote , 4 out of five business units firmly reject Chris O’Shea’s offer of the same **** sandwich on different bread.
Oh btw the business unit that did accept was the only one due to have a raise in wages over the next three years, so no wondering why that happened.
Oh but Chris O’Shea in an email said he would be taking the vote as one unit now , of course that was before the results - we will see if he sticks to that now .
So if they just don’t pay dividends to small investors (there’s lots of them - but they still make up less than 50%) it will save Centrica a fortune.
Well that’s the sort of crap idea Chris O’Shea comes out with , but you won’t support that one will you ?
